The Military Council

  • At the pledging ceremony of Myanmar Press Council members, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that the council must help media people with press freedom and protect the access of the public to accurate information.
  • At the dinner hosted for members of the Myanmar Press Council, U Mg Mg Ohn, the junta minister of Information, said that it was necessary for the media to bring benefits and control disadvantages.
  • A press conference of the junta information and communication team will be held at the hall of Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw at 1:00 pm Friday. Reportedly, local and international media people were invited to join it.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On social media, Ministers of the NUG wrote that being a participant in the public’s revolution, each of them took part in the White Ribbon Campaign on International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which fell on Thursday, by pledging that they themselves would never commit violence against women and would brighten their corner in the reduction of such violence.
  • With the intention for Ministry of Health-NUG, AAC, committee for helping and protecting Myanmar labourers in Thailand, would organize a fund-raising and arts-performance event.
  • The NUG announced there have been human rights violations in Myanmar, especially more war crimes with violations of International Humanitarian Law.
  • On social media, Dr. Tukaung, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation-NUG, wrote that bonds were important, not only as financial supplies, but also as a proof of the anti-junta movement by Myanmar people. They would also bring the best testimonial to the international community.
  • Minister of Human Rights-NUG said that the case in which the military junta had arrested volunteers from Compassion Clinic in the compound of Christu King Church in Naungyar Ward of Loikaw in Kayah State was included in war crimes.

Revolution Activities

  • In Bahan Township of Yangon Region, Maha Withaddayone Shwekyin Monastery, administered by venerable Yaw Sayardaw, was raided by the junta army by force at 4:40 am on 21st November.
  • In Thaketa Township, students’ unions led an anti-junta movement on Wednesday night - ‘Uproot the 60-year old junta army in 2021’.
  • On Yangon Insein Road, Hlaing Defense Team conducted a protest against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • At 12:00 pm Thursday, an unknown group opened fire at a police station near south-north crossroads in South Dagon Myothit Township. According to local sources, a policeman died.
  • Strike forces called on the public to take part in ‘No-Strike’ on 101st anniversary of National Day, under the theme - ‘National resolution to reject slavery of the military junta’. There would also be public talks on a week-long boycott of Yangon people against Parami and Omni Focus bus services from 27th November to 4th December.
  • As a 260-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • In Latbadaung area of Salingyi Township, sesame farmers conducted a White-Ribbon campaign on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, there was an anti-junta movement on Thursday, chanting slogans in support of the NUG and PDFs.
  • As a 291-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • In Khin-U Township, the junta army arrested 7 farmers in Pyintaung village on Wednesday morning.
  • On Thursday, Tantsi Township General Strike led a march against the military dictatorship.
  • In Monywa Township, Basic Education Students’ Union led a funeral for non-CDM students, who had been learning slavery education of the military junta, on Thursday.
  • On Thursday, Dr. Tayza San, a leader of Mandalay protest, called on the public to join ‘No-Strike’, one of the five pillars for the fight against the military dictatorship.
  • At about 1:30 pm Thursday, there was a bomb explosion in front of traffic police office in Mandalay combined office. According to a witness, 2 members of the junta armed forces were seriously injured and they would probably die.
  • In Dimawso Township of Kayar (Karenni) State, there was a heavy fighting against a contingent of over 100 junta soldiers near Hophait village at about 6:00 am Thursday. Reportedly, Karenni National Defence Force lost 4 members.
  • In Pyi of Bago Region, the junta army arrested Mg Pyay Phyo Pai in Kothaung Padatha Ward at about 12:00 pm Wednesday.
  • In Kanbauk village of Yebyu Township, the junta army arrested U Aung Soe and Ko Thet Ko Oo at their houses at about 3:00 am Wednesday.
  • In Wundwin village of Longlone Township, the junta army sealed off the house of Ko Thura Soe on Wednesday evening.
  • In Lamai of Mon State, two police cars were attacked with mines near Aungthaya village on Yangon-Dawei Union Road at about 4:00 pm Wednesday. According to a spokesperson of Yay Township PDF, a police member died and another one was injured.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • At about 12:00 pm Thursday, there was a fighting between a combined force of KIA+PDF and the junta army near Kachinthay village in Shweku Township.
  • Starting from 11:52 am Wednesday, there was a battle for four hours between the junta armed forces and MNDAA at Chinchainttan Hill in Monekoe District of Shan North. According to the Kokang, at least 3 junta soldiers died and a member of MNDAA was injured.

Summary on 25th November

  • Reportedly, there were bomb explosions in Mandalay and Yangon, with a great momentum in the revolution. There were also protests amidst tight security measures with arrests.
  • In Sagaing Region with a great loss of the military junta, there were public protests as usual. In some villages, the junta armed forces arrested, ill-treated and killed civilians.
  • As for Bago and Dawei, they were faced with oppression of the military junta. In Mon State, a police member died due to the attack of the Yay PDF. Throughout the country, there were guerrilla attacks on the junta armed forces.
  • In Kayah State, there were heavy battles due to the invasion of the junta army. There might be such ongoing warfare activities in the days to come.
  • In Shan North and Kachin, there were clashes between EAOs and the junta armed forces.
