The Military Council

  • The junta Minister of Foreign Affairs said that attacking security forces of the country, the junta armed forces are regarded by the public as committing a war crime.
  • The junta Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday that Myanmar rejected reports and discussions against the purposes and policies of the United Nations.
  • According to the junta media, students aged 12 and above in Sagaing Township have been getting COVID-19 vaccination since Saturday. Reportedly, a total of (3971) students will be vaccinated.
  • As a resort, preparations are being made to reopen Wanet elephant camp on the way to Yeywa reservoir.
  • According to a junta newspaper, legal action would be relieved for the staff, professionals and other individuals who have run away due to the arrest of the military junta.
  • In some cities like Nay Pyi Taw and Pyin Oo Lwin, there were pro-military rallies on Monday morning.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • U Moe Zaw Oo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs- NUG, said in a media that the NUG had their ASEAN representative and presented to the Association for his/her participation in the Summit.

Revolution Activities

  • The U.S and NATO member states conduct a joint military exercise every year. This year, they did it under the name “Burmese Chase” in September. Reportedly, the U.S Marines, in cooperation with NATO forces, carried out all-around practice for Land Air Sea Warfare.
  • In Meiktila of Mandalay Region, there was a bomb explosion on a military truck that stopped in front of No. (2) police station at about 11:00 am Monday. According to residents, two junta policemen died and 3 junta soldiers were seriously injured.
  • As an anti-junta movement in Amapura, there were sheets of paper containing the text- “The military dictatorship must surely end” all over the town.
  • On Monday, Mandalay Monks’ Union conducted an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • On Monday, Mandalay youth carried out an online photo campaign to show that they stand with those who were unjustly imprisoned.
  • On Sunday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led a night strike against the military dictatorship.
  • At about 1:00 pm Monday, pro-military rallies were conducted at two places in Mandalay, together with tight security measures of the junta army.
  • In Sagaing Region, Latbadaung Taung General Strike marched against the dictatorship on Monday, holding a sign- “Our unity for the downfall of the military junta”.
  • As 229-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • As 260-day protest, Kalay people marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Monday, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Shwebo Township, local people marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • In a village on the western riverbank of Chindwin, there was a night protest against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region, basic education students expressed their desire against the military dictatorship on Monday, holding signs- “We will never give up”.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region, people expressed their desire on Monday, chanting for uprooting the military junta for the future of the public.
  • In North Dagon Myothit Township, a rally of students objected to the military dictatorship on Monday, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • U Jimmy, a student leader of 88 generation, was unconscious at Mingaladone military hospital as he was injured in the violent arrest of the junta armed forces on Saturday night.
  • In Hlaing Township, there was opened fire in RC2 campus at about 12:46 pm Sunday. According to the witness, a car was stuck between two cars of junta soldiers in plain clothes and arrested.
  • In Kangyidaunk Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, Pathein urban guerrilla force (PSTF) threw a grenade at a military truck near the bus stop of Kanyinngu village at about 6:00 pm Sunday. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died and 2 others were injured. As for PSTF, they lost one of their members due to gunshots of the junta army for arrest.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • Major General N’ban La, chair of KIO, said that they would join hands with any anti-junta organizations to put an end to the dictatorship as it would be more difficult to uproot Burmese ethnocentrism and the military junta in the future.
  • In Thatone Township with the military operation of KNU Regiment (1), there were 5 battles between KNLA and a combined force of the junta army + BGF on Sunday alone. According to KNU, 14 junta soldiers died and 9 others were injured.
  • In Kayah State, the junta armed forces heading to Pekone from Loikaw were attacked by a combined force of Moebye PDF and KNDF. Reportedly, no less than 10 junta soldiers died.

Summary on 26th October

  • The military junta rejected the report submitted by the special envoy of the UN Secretary, saying that it was written based on fake news. In addition, they declined the invitation to an officer from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the junta leader could not join the ASEAN Summit. They were too crazy about power to notice that such activities against international requests and decisions would lead to negative impacts on them.
  • To play another trick on the international community, the military junta organized pro-military rallies to show the public were supporting the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing. On the other hand, people from all walks of life have been taking up arms against the junta army owing to their violent activities like murder and robbery.
  • Due to violent arrests even in big cities like Yangon, Ko Jimmy from 88 Generation was seriously injured. The same happened to almost everyone who got arrested.
