Yangon Region

  • In Tamwe Township, the junta armed forces arrived at Myitta Ward and made inspections on Sunday night while the public was banging pots and pans.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township, a rally of Ba-Ka-Tha protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Thaketa Township, the youth conducted “From the People to the People” campaign on Monday, distributing food to the people living from hand to mouth.
  • Multi-Ethnics General Strike Committee called on the public not to ignore alerts from inside the prison.

Mandalay Region

  • On Monday, a rally of Mandalay Monks’ Union marched against the military dictatorship, “Fear must salute back”.
  • Mandalay Monks’ Union recited Parittas for the public and made a protest against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • On Monday morning, a rally of Aungmye Thazan Schools marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • On Monday, a rally of LGBT without fear expressed their desire against the military dictatorship.
  • A rally of Mandalay Variety Forces, in cooperation with Monks’ Union, marched against the military dictatorship on Monday evening.

Sagaing Region

  • Young residents of Kalay marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • Members of Monywa General Strike got together at a market in the downtown area of Monywa and made an anti-junta movement. A young leader of the union delivered a fearless speech to the public.
  • In Khin-U Township, 35-year old Daw San Win Kyi, a member of USDP, was killed in Yaukthwa-I village.
  • In Butalin Township, the youth conducted a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship.

Magwe Region

  • In Taungdwingyi, there was a bomb explosion at the house of the township administrator at about 4:00 am Monday.
  • In Pakkoku Township, the youth distributed food to poor families in the wards where stay-at-home was declared for the prevention of COVID-19.
  • In Pakkoku, the students and the public marched against the military dictatorship at dawn on Monday.
  • In Myaing Township, Basic Education General Strike Committee, in cooperation with the public from the north-west zone made a protest against the military dictatorship at dawn, holding signs in support of ICRC for offering their helping hand to provide health care in prisons.
  • In Pakkoku Township, the junta armed forces arrested 9 villagers, accusing them of making weapons for PDFs.

Taninthayi Region

  • In Thayetchaung Township, the youth-led an anti-junta movement in Nyaungzin village on Monday.
  • In Longlone Township, Nyinmaw villagers marched in the rain on Monday evening and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • On Monday afternoon, Dawei General Strike, in cooperation with a rally of students, expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship, burning flags of the junta army.
  • In Thayetchaung Township, the youth in Paintaw village marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Longlone Township, a rally of Lower Yebyu village marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Monday afternoon.
  • In Longlone Township, there was a motorbike protest against the military dictatorship in a rural community on Monday evening.

Rakhine State

  • According to REC, a Rakhine organization for IDPs, there are insufficient food problems at almost all IDP camps in Rakhine State during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kachin State

  • In Shweku Township, KIA shot an RPG at a ship of the junta army carrying tanks along Ayeyarwady River.

Shan State

  • SNLD called on Shan ethnic armed organizations, SSPP and RCSS, to have a meeting for discussion so that the conflicts and battles between them could be put to an end as soon as possible.

Chin State

  • On Saturday morning, Mindat CDF attacked a police station with a combined force of junta police and soldiers in Maquinu village group in the southwest of Mindat. Reportedly, the officer in charge of the station led the activity of giving up arms to the CDF.

Nay Pyi Taw

  • The NUG announced that U Maw Tun Aung, a candidate for Muse District National Parliament in 2020 General Election, was appointed to be Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy.
  • The upcoming trials of three leaders, including State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi, would be on 2nd and 3rd August.

Summary on 27th July 2021

  • In Yangon, the junta armed forces entered houses and arrested people who banged pots and pans at night to drive away junta devils. Besides this, they conducted patrols around the wards at such times. After the establishment of the oxygen management committee, the public started to face difficulty in private oxygen refills.
  • Despite arrests in Mandalay, various rallies marched against the military dictatorship as usual. They still had great momentum.
  • In Sagaing Region, public protests were still powerful and so was the revolution of PDFs. There were also junta-pillars clearance activities. As for the junta armed forces, they had been strengthening their manpower and weapons. They continued to oppress the public.
  • In Taninthayi Region, there were still powerful protests against the military dictatorship. As for other states and regions, they had almost no public protests. In Shan North, Kayin, Mon and Taninthayi, residents need assistance due to floods.
