The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In a meeting with revolutionary forces, social organisations and activists based in South Korea on Sunday, the NUG Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the NUG is just a part of the revolution and it has been working against all forms of dictatorship, not just the military one.
  • In a government meeting, the NUG Acting President stated that the junta leader claimed that the junta would uproot revolutionary forces. A comment made out of fear.
  • The NUG Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration conducted Digital Security Training on Sunday for their Township People’s Administrations.

Revolutionary Activities

  • According to a representative of Nay Pyi Taw PDF, two of their members were arrested while preparing to attack the junta’s military parade on Monday.
  • In Shweku Township in Kachin State, there has been much military tension. Consequently, residents of eight villages have had to flee.
  • In Bokpyin Township in Tanintharyi Region, PDFs attacked the junta Pyu Saw Htee in Wagyun Village at about 2:00 am on Monday. Reportedly, two Pyu Saw Htee members including their local leader died and some weapons and five guns were confiscated.
  • In Ye Township in Mon State, local PDFs conducted a drone bomb attack on the junta inspection gate at Ye Bridge on Monday morning.
  • In Kawlin Township, local people carried out a motorbike strike against the military dictatorship.
  • In Sagaing Township in Sagaing Region, there were drone bomb attacks on two military trucks and Maletaw Pyu Saw Htee Village between Sartaung and Owntaw villages.
  • In Kani Township, a rally of villagers protested against the military dictatorship on Tuesday in memory of Ma Thinzar Hein who waas killed two years ago.
  • In Wetlet Township, a combined rally of the General Strike Committee and local people marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Myaung Township, youth from the YFC, in cooperation with the public, marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • In Kalaywa Township, there was a mine attack on a junta convoy. Reportedly, the dead body of a junta soldier was confiscated together with a weapon. According to the focal person, there might have been many casualties among junta members.
  • On Tuesday morning, a rally of Yin Mar Bin North marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Hpapun District under the control of the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade (5), Mekhata junta army camp was attacked and burnt down on Tuesday morning.
  • In Falam Township in Chin State, there was an attack with a variety mines on the junta army travelling to Hakha. According to a spokesperson of the Chin National Army, 22 junta soldiers died.
  • The focal person of Cobra Column Regiment (5) released a video in which a combined force of the KNLA raided the Myawaddy Border Trade Zone in Myawaddy in Kayin State.
  • According to the focal person of the KNU, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing has been saying since the coup that they will uproot the revolutionary forces.
  • On Monday, Demoso PDF announced that it had managed to produce 40mm grenades which can cause damage in an area of around 50 feet when they explode.
  • At 7:00 am on Tuesday, a combined force of the KNLA attacked the Southern Regional Headquarters in Taungoo in Bago Region and the junta army camps in Thandaunggyi Township in Kayin State such as Kyauklonegyi Camp, Htonebogyi Camp, Thanmoe Kyauk Camp and Bahone Camp.

The Military Council

  • After an attack on the Myawaddy Border Trade Zone in Kayin State, the junta armed forces have been randomly firing heavy artillery at local villages in the south of Myawaddy Township.
  • The junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun stated that the junta cannot say when the election will be held exactly.
  • In Kyaikto Township in Mon State, the revolutionary forces conducted a bomb attack, using a drone, on the junta inspection gate in Mayanchaung Village. Reportedly, three junta soldiers died and two others were injured.
  • In most of the townships in Yangon Region, the military junta has been pushing for overnight guest registration. Reportedly, they have also instructed the administration to ask for family photos for such registrations.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Education, students will get 13 years of basic education starting from the 2023-24 academic year.
  • According to the junta Hotel and Tourism Department, there were over 80,000 pilgrims every day in the ancient city of Bagan during the long summer holidays.

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed that it would uproot the EAOs supporting the NUG. After the statement, junta army camps were attacked and a large number of junta soldiers died.
  • Despite oppression by the junta armed forces in Sagaing Region and Magway Region, there have been daily mine attacks on junta convoys. In other words, defence forces have been determined to uproot the military dictatorship.
