The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In Massachusetts in the United States, the Myanmar Ambassador to the UN U Kyaw Moe Tun joined a discussion about Myanmar’s affairs at Tufts University.
  • The NUG Union Prime Minister expressed thanks to the political parties that bravely stand by the public for justice and have a revolutionary spirit.

Revolutionary Activities

  • Human rights activists called on the UN to make clear what role two UN agencies had in the junta’s trip to Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh. Reportedly, the agencies removed the UN logo from its boats so that the junta’s body guards could secretly carry weapons.
  • In Demoso Township in Karenni State, the Rural Land provided IDPs with dry fish and vegetables on Sunday.
  • In Pyin Oo Lwin Township in Mandalay Region, Maymyo General Strike put up an anti-junta banner on Sunday.
  • In Nyaung-U Township, an armed group attacked a gambling event in Mangyi Zauk Village. Reportedly, two people were killed in the incident. A local PDF condemned the action.
  • In Monywa in Sagaing Region, there was an attack on junta soldiers carrying out security at the Myawaddy Bank and the Myanmar Economic Bank. Reportedly, four of them died.
  • In Kalay Township, the junta army conducted two helicopter attacks on Pyindaw-U Villag,e causing, local people to flee.
  • On Sunday, a rally from Yin Mar Bin North marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Salingyi Township, the junta army killed two people from Bait Thayet Village by burning them to death.
  • On the second anniversary of the Tumi Revolution on Sunday, a rally of the Kani Spring Revolution led a march against the military dictatorship.
  • In Myaung Township, Captain Hsin Yaing, the second-in-command of Sagaing District PDF Regiment (1), was killed. According to a video by the CDSOM, his head was cut off and taken away.
  • In Wetlet Township, Tamar Yin Kwin Social Group provided food to IDPs from Maukgyo Village and Tharnar Village on Sunday.
  • On Sunday, a combined rally of local villagers from Salingyi and Yin Mar Bin marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Sartaung in Sagaing Township, junta police demanding money from the public were shot at. Reportedly, two of them died.
  • In Shwebo Township, there was a prize-awarding ceremony for outstanding students at a public school supported by the S&C.
  • In Sartaung, there was an attack on a local police station. Reportedly, two junta policemen died.
  • In Yin Mar Bin District, an alliance of women and the Monywa University Students’ Union conducted a public talk on basic politics on 30 March.
  • In Busan in South Korea, a combined rally of Korean and Myanmar people protested against Myanmar’s military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In Saw Township in Magway Region, there was a battle between the junta army and PDFs in San Village. Reportedly, no less than 30 junta soldiers died. In response, the junta army set fire to an IDP camp.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • The KNDF released a video in which a junta sergeant, Myo Tint from Ka-Ma-Ya (108), admitted that the junta army had killed IDPs, including children and women, in Fruso in Karenni State.
  • According to the Progressive Karenni People’s Force on Saturday, there have been 650 battles in Karenni State since the coup. Reportedly, 252 members of the PDF, the KNDF and the KA lost their lives.
  • In Thaton Township in Mon State, the junta army fired mortars into Chaung Saunt Village and injured two children.
  • In Thandaunggyi Township in Kayin State, there has been constant fighting in Laittho under Karen National Union Brigade (2). Reportedly, no less than 19 junta soldiers have died.

The Military Council

  • The junta army fired mortars into Kyonedoe in Kayin State, killing a resident and causing many others to flee.
  • According to the junta Transportation Department, all the cars must have embossed number plates by the end of April.
  • The junta Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture announced that the people are not to chant Thingyan slogans defaming an individual or organisations, and they are not to wear culturally-insensitive clothes.
  • According to the junta media, the M/T Tracy, a Vietnamese Ship, arrived at Myanmar Naing Group Port in Kyimyindine Township. Reportedly, it was carrying edible oil from Indonesia for the Myanmar people to use during the Thingyan Festival.
  • The military junta announced that weapons had been confiscated from PDFs near Myosoe Village in Pakkoku Township in Magway Region.
  • The military junta stated that PDFs opened fire on and set fire to people’s houses in Paukgone Village in Kantbalu Township in Sagaing Region.
