The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • At 10:00 am on 29 June, there was an online meeting between CDM staff from the regions of Sagaing, Magwe and Mandalay, and the Union Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation-NUG. Reportedly up to 45 members of the CDM staff joined it.
  • Regarding his trip to Europe on business, Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Union Minister of Health and Education-NUG, presented it to the Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH).
  • On Friday, there was a meeting between the NUG Committee on Alliance Relations and Karenni State Counsultative Council (KSCC).
  • In July, the 7 th Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Foreign Minister Meeting will be held in Myanmar. The NUG released some points to be taken into consideration there.

Revolution Activities

  • On Saturday, Mandalay Monks’ Union conducted an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • In Salingyi Township of Sagaing Region, a local defence force announced that Chinese Wanbao and Yanci companies were not to let junta soldiers, police and Pyusawti members stay in their compound.
  • In Myaung Township, 80 junta soldiers raided and burnt Camp (3) of the local PDF on 29 June, the one-year anniversary of their establishment.
  • In Taze Township, the junta army on patrol was attacked with mines by local PDFs at about 9:00 pm Friday. According to Guerrilla Warfare - K.P.K, 5 junta soldiers died.
  • On Saturday, a rally of Shwe Kun Myay marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In the west of Yinmabin Township, a combined rally of Salingyi and Yinmabin marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Kani Township, local forces of the Spring Revolution conducted an anti-junta protest somewhere in the forest.
  • In Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region, there has been heavy fighting near Kyawbya Village since Saturday morning. Consequently, local people have had to run away. With a great loss, the junta armed forces have been conducting air strikes.
  • In South Korea, Daegu Sayardaw led a protest against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, a combined rally of gems mine-workers marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Pulaw Township of Taninthayi Region, there were battles between the junta armed forces and local PDFs from 27 to 30 June. Reportedly, no less than 10 junta soldiers died.
  • In Shan South, JPGF released a video of their attack on the junta Myaukkyaunggyi gate on the way out of Pindaya.
  • On Saturday, a Telegram Channel named Han Nyein Oo threatened the artists who had resigned from the Myanmar Filming Association after the military coup.
  • In Kawhmu Township of Yangon Region, the military junta has been demanding 50 people from each local village to form people’s armed groups.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • According to the Kokang, there was fighting between MNDAA and the junta armed forces invading Monekoe District in Special Area (1) on Thursday.
  • In Laykaykaw Area of Kayin State, Cobra Troop led by the KNU attacked the junta army invading a local hill at night. Reportedly, junta soldiers ran away like headless chickens.
  • There have been battles between the junta army and KNLA in the areas under the control of Karen National Union-KNU. On Saturday, KNU called for no posting about them on social media in a hurry.
  • In Mindat Township of Chin State, two fighter jets of the military junta dropped bombs on Chup Village and Suntaung Village at about 11:00 am Saturday. Reportedly, 2 civilians lost their lives and many others were injured.

The Military Council

  • On Friday evening, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and ASEAN Special Envoy to Myanmar left Nay Pyi Taw.
  • The military junta announced that their armed forces managed to take control of a strategic location near Okkayitta Village in Kayin State.
  • Reportedly, Naypyitaw State Academy (NSA) was established for the children of government employees in Nay Pyi Taw to access higher education.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing instructed for the inclusion of Yangon University, Mandalay University and Nay Pyi Taw University on the list of the world’s top universities.
  • The junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun said that some NLD MPs who had been abroad registered for entry into the country.
  • The junta propaganda leader called on the public to take part in the fight against PDFs.
  • The junta propaganda leader said that State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi had been transferred to Nay Pyi Taw Prison for her security and convenience in her trials.

  • The military junta asked help from the public for the fight against PDFs. At the time of nationwide armed resistance, such request implies that the dictators have had a great loss everywhere.
