The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In cooperation with the NUG Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment the Interim Chin National Consultative Council would sell NUG Bonds to launch events in Chin State.
  • On Sunday, there was an event on completion of the Special Commando Training Batch (2/2022) by Nay Pyi Taw PDF under the NUG Ministry of Defence.
  • On Sunday morning, there was the sale of NUG bonds by the NUG Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment in Nashville in Tennessee State in the United States.

Revolutionary Activities

  • The U.S called on ASEAN to take action to end the humanitarian crisis in Myanmar through discussions and negotiations with the military junta and Daw Aung San Su Kyi, the former State Counsellor who is in detention.
  • According to Justice for Myanmar, eight Civil Society Organizations sent a letter to two Japanese investor companies asking them not to give land rental fees to the military junta.
  • In Kalay Township in Sagaing Region, three people, a mother of a six-month-old baby and two others, died on the spot when they were hit by junta mortar fire.
  • In Kalay, an alliance of local PDFs attacked the junta army stationed near a school in Tahan Ward on Saturday evening. According to PDF –Zomi, at least two junta soldiers died.
  • In Khin-U Township, the junta army raided Thayetgone Village at 1:24 pm on Sunday. Reportedly, they set fire to the whole village.
  • On Sunday, Chaung-U Township PDF announced that the Chaung U to Pakkoku road section would be temporarily closed until their next security announcement and that the public should not use it.
  • On Sunday, Kalay people protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Monywa, students and youths conducted an anti-junta protest and hung a banner against the military dictatorship and the junta slavery education at No. (4) High School.
  • In most townships in Sagaing Region and some townships of Magwe Region where there has been fighting against the junta armed forces, there has been a complete black-out of telecommunication.
  • In Pale Township, the junta army was attacked by a local PDF near Mount Nagarma at about 1:00 pm on Saturday. Reportedly, three junta soldiers died.
  • In Myaing Township in Magwe Region, the Basic Education General Strike and the public marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday, holding anti-junta signs.
  • In Daegu of South Korea, there was a prayer event to make merit for Myanmar martyrs and for the victory of the Spring Revolution at the Myanmar-Korea Peace Center.
  • In Thandaung Township in Kayin State, a military truck and a troop of junta soldiers on foot were attacked by local PDF on Saturday. Reportedly, there might have been casualties among no less than 13 junta soldiers.
  • On the Shan-Karenni border, the junta army based in Pekone shot mortars ten times at Lwepansone Village at 1:00 am on Sunday. According to a local PDF, those mortars fell into the village and exploded.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township in Yangon Region, Than Zaw, a junta informer and Pyu Saw Htee leader, was shot dead on Sunday morning.
  • At 7:00 pm on Saturday, there was a bomb explosion in front of Ward (15) administration office near the 127 bus stop in Hlaingthaya Township.
  • On Sunday afternoon, several Yangon students’ unions protested against the military dictatorship, under the theme- ‘We, students, do not kneel down before the junta dogs or fear death’.
  • According to local sources, anti-junta activists and revolutionary comrades have been constantly arrested by the junta armed forces in Mandalay.
  • In Maha Aungmye Township, a 100-household leader and a 10-household leader, two junta informers in Seinban Ward, were shot dead on Saturday evening while they were buying liquor.
  • According to Sintkai Township PDF, 11 members, including their leader, were arrested and thus, the rest of them must leave the urban area temporarily.
  • In Pathein in Ayeyarwaddy Region, there was a bomb explosion on a motorbike in Ward (3) on Sagawa Road at about 6:00 am Sunday. Reportedly, the man riding the motorbike died. 

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • The Chin Joint Defence Committee- CJDC comprising the armed forces in Chin State called on local people to fight against the junta slavery education and the junta administration.
  • In Shan South, Saw Wai Phyo Aung, a soldier from the Kolang-based junta army regiment (66), joined Demoso PDF on Saturday.
  • In Matupi Township in Chin State, the Matupi Education Board announced on 26 May that students who enroll at junta schools would be regarded as traitors.

The Military Council

  • According to the spokesperson and joint secretary of the Karen National Union/ Karen National Liberation Army (Peace Committee)- KNU/KNLA (PC), they made an agreement with the military junta to build a federal democratic union based on the consensus of all political groups.
  • According to the junta media, the meeting between the military junta and the team led by Chair of KNU/KNLA (PC) at NRPC Hall in Nay Pyi Taw went into a second day.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Transportation, a modern port built to international standards will be built near Mawlamyine in Mon State in the 2022-23 fiscal year.
  • According to the junta media, there was a tree planting event by the southwest military headquarters, departments and local people in Hnone Village in Mawlamyeingyun Township in Ayeyarwaddy Region on Saturday.
  • According to the military junta, 128 apartments from Thukha Tawwin Housing will be sold by lots in Zambu Thiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw.
  • According to army sources, the military junta sent some anti-drone weapons, but not enough, to their armed forces in Kayin State and Sagaing Region.

Summary on 30 May

  • In Mandalay Region, urban guerrillas have had to lie low due to the oppression and arrests by the junta armed forces. There were fewer revolutionary activities in urban areas because base camps of some forces were confiscated.
  • As for Yangon, they resumed urban revolution and protests against the military dictatorship in recent days.
  • Due to the wild firing of guns by the junta army, civilians died in Kalay in Sagaing Region.However, the junta media and pro-military people spread false news on social media, accusing PDFs of shooting them.
