The Military Council

  • According to the junta media, all banking services will be available in a timely manner when Myanmar Foreign Trade Bank gets started with the use of the Core Banking System. As for customers, they will be able to access banking services anywhere 24/7 without going to the bank in person.
  • U Khin Mg Yi, the junta minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, said that the number of businesses relying on natural resources must be reduced for environmental conservation.
  • According to the discussion of Myanmar-Russia business people, Myanmar has gained privileges for its exports to Russia without tariffs.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that although some ethnic armed organizations got involved in the revolution activities of the NUG, most of them did not accept them.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The public have been taking part in the People’s Defensive War. The NUG announced that there were attacks at 11 military targets of the enemy, 10 administration targets and 4 business targets on Tuesday. There were also peaceful protests in regions for the end of the military dictatorship and for the emergence of a federal democracy.
  • The NUG announced that 224 members of the junta armed forces died and 38 others were injured in People’s Defensive War from 21st to 27th September. Since the NUG declared the fair war, the number of soldiers and police who contacted to join the public has increased on a daily basis.
  • Ministry of Defence-NUG called on people’s soldiers and police to leave the junta armed forces and join the public as soon as possible.
  • Ministry of Health-NUG expressed their deepest sorrow for healthcare staff members who lost their lives due to the unlawful arrest and ruthless killing of the military junta.

Revolution Activities

  • Karenni G.Z Special Force announced that they had arrested some junta soldiers and confiscated weapons during their clearance operation in Dimawso Township the previous day.
  • In Dimawso Township, an IDP stepped on a mine set by the junta army and got seriously injured when he returning to his house in Taysule village after getting some food.
  • On Wednesday, a rally of Aungmye Thazan Schools marched against the military dictatorship.
  • On Wednesday morning, a rally of multi-religions marched in Mandalay for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • On Wednesday noon, Mandalay-based University Students’ Union (Ta-Ka-Tha) marched in downtown area, raising their victory flag and chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Sintku Township, the military junta have been forcing the eviction of 3 villages, saying that they have been squatting on the land of the army. Reportedly, villagers have been deconstructing their own houses and moving elsewhere.
  • In Thayetchaung Township, a rally of southern Dawei led a protest against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • In Longlone Township, youth and students marched on Wednesday for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • Despite an internet blackout by the military junta in Myaing Township, a combined rally of Basic Education General Strike Committee and the public from south west zone protested against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • In Pakkoku, a grenade was thrown into a junta police car on patrol near the crossroads of Ahzarni street and Bogyoke street on Tuesday evening. Reportedly, a policeman died and 3 others were injured in the incident.
  • In Pyinmana of Nay Pyi Taw, there was a bomb explosion near KBZ Bank on Botawtain street at about 9:00 am Wednesday.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region, a bomb exploded at the junta traffic police office on BOC crossroads at about 6:50 am Wednesday. CGF-HTY announced responsibility for the attack.
  • In Thanlyin Township, Ye Din or Kalar, allegedly an informer to the junta in Bogyoke village, was shot dead at about 8:30 am Wednesday.
  • The military junta have been preparing to investigate over 3000 people who bought the Spring Lottery, one of the financial sources for the NUG.
  • On Wednesday morning, Kalay townspeople expressed their desire against the military dictatorship.
  • As 203-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday morning, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • With the guidance of PDF Tamu Regiment (1), Gurkha Defence Force –GDF was established in Tamu of Sagaing Region.
  • In Khin-U Township, an advocate of USDP and junta informer was found dead with gunshots on KhinU-YeU road on Tuesday. Khin-U Chit Nyo Group announced that they had done it.
  • In Pathein Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region and Dike-U Township of Bago Region, MyTel telecom towers were blown up.
  • Putao PDF announced on Tuesday that they were ready for the fight against the military dictatorship as the public expected.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Butho Township of Kayin State under the influence of KNU Regiment (5), there was a clash between the junta army and KNLA near Kaletheta village at about 4:00 pm Sunday. Reportedly, a junta soldier died and two others were injured. There was also a fighting near Lothukale village. In the incident, a junta soldier was injured. As for KNLA, they had no casualties.

Summary on 29th September

  • To fight against People’s Defensive War now in great momentum, the military junta have been putting efforts in various ways. As it is not easy to do so with excessive use of manpower and weapons, they have been trying to divide the unity among ethnic armed organizations.
  • To fight against local PDFs in Sagaing Region and Chin State, the military junta conducted telecommunication blackouts and invaded the areas with a large number of armed forces. On the other hand, they announced their ceasefire with EAOs.
  • In Mandalay, Yangon, Magwe and Dawei, there were public protests against the military dictatorship. However, they turned into guerrilla protests due to oppression and arrests by the junta armed forces.
