The National Unity Government (NUG) 

  • The NUG Ministry of Labor announced that local and international workers and sailors could report violations of their labour rights to the ministry. 
  • At 3:00 pm on Wednesday, there was an online meeting between the NUG Ministry of Defence and the Committee on Security and Defence under the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH). 
  • On Wednesday, the NUG Ministry of Labor announced that they had managed to work to get compensation for Myanmar workers dismissed from a tuna factory in Thailand. 
  • The NUG Acting President stated that it was vital for the NUG to be thrifty and careful with their budget as the fund came from the contributions of the general public. 

Revolutionary Activities 

  • Second Captain Ye Yint Aung, a soldier from the junta army Regiment (66) who had defected to the Karenni People’s Embrace, said that soldiers were losing their lives for the junta leader and that they should not sacrifice their lives in that way and to join the CDM as soon as possible. 
  • In South Dagon’s Myothit Township in Yangon Region, a local Urban Guerrilla carried out a warning explosion at GOOD LUCK KTV.
  • In Mingaladone Township, a combined force of urban guerrilla groups conducted remote bomb attacks on the gates of the junta air force and the junta army Regiment (981) on Wednesday night. 
  • In Hlaingthaya Township, two bombs exploded on the road in front of the junta police force (9) at about 8:00 am on Thursday. 
  • In Sagaing Region, the Danger Force LPDF attacked a junta army car at close range on the Ayadaw-Monywa Road. 
  • In Monywa Township, Aung San Force conducted an attack on the junta army which had set fire to Tanaungdaw Village. 
  • In Khin-U Township, seven local drone forces announced that they would suspend their operations as they had less funding. 
  • In Wetlet Township, an alliance of local PDFs carried out two attacks on the junta army stationing in Hladaw Police Station over three days. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers. 
  • In Taze Township, local people and revolutionary forces marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Thursday morning, raising banners saying ‘The junta army can burn villages but not the revolutionary spirit’. 
  • In Indaw Township, there was fighting between the junta army and local PDFs at about 12:00 pm on Wednesday. Reportedly, junta soldiers arrested some local people and took them away. 
  • In Yesagyo Township in Magwe Region, a junta soldier joined the CDM saying that he had done so due to the junta’s ill-treatment of the public. 
  • In Wandwin Township in Mandalay Region, a non-CDM teacher was arrested by the junta army and died during interrogation.
  • In Mae Sot, there was a photo show themed ‘On the other side of Thaung Yin river’ that portrayed local people and revolutionary forcesstruggling against the military dictatorship in Kayin State. 
  • In Yebyu Township in Tanintharyi Region, a junta policeman was shot dead by local PDFs somewhere on the road at 6:30 pm Tuesday. 
  • In Myeik, U Myo Oo, who had been arrested at the local airport recently, was released four days later. 

Ethnic Armed Organisations 

  • On Wednesday, the Arakan Army (AA) announced that two of its prisons were hit during an air strike by the junta army in Maungdaw Township. Consequently, junta soldiers in detention and some prisoners died in the incident. 
  • In Hpapun District under the control of the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade (5), there were attacks on the junta’s Kawpoat and Mewine camps on Wednesday. Reportedly, there were casualties amongst the junta soldiers. 
  • In Nammatu Township, there were battles for three consecutive days between the junta armed forces and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). Reportedly, local people had to run away. 
  • In Theinni Township in Shan North, there was fighting between the junta army and the KIA near Nampsalat Village at about 9:30 am on Wednesday. 

The Military Council 

  • Dr. Pwint San, the junta Union Minister of Labor, said that the public was not to go abroad illegally.
  • On Thursday, the State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi and her Australian economic adviser Sean Turnell were each sentenced to three years in prison under the Myanmar Official Secrets Act. 
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that they would provide necessary loans to Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. 
  • At the Myanmar Gems Museum in Yangon and the Star Mart Mandalay, there will be a sale for gold weighing 3 viss through a competitive tender system. 
  • On Wednesday, the military junta announced that it had stopped using the Budaryone Bus-Stop, on Insein Road where there had often been explosions. 
  • The chair of the junta Anti-Corruption Commission said that anti-corruption committees were set up at 38 ministries for government employees to be corruption free. 
  • The junta leader said that basic livestock products from Meiktila could be exported. 
  • The junta leader said that an industrial zone would be set up in Chin State based on cash crops like coffee and cattle farming. In response, a former Chin State Minister said that it was a lie and that it was necessary to first seek a solution to the political problem and have political stability. 
  • On Thursday, the junta propaganda media announced that the deadline for the registration of matriculation students who want to retake the exam has been extended for one more month.

Summary on 30 September 

  • At a time of conflicts and instability all over the country, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by many guards, took a tour of the country and talked nonsense about establishing industrial zones and factories. In fact, he is just telling the public lies.  
  • In Kayin State, the junta army had to abandon their camps one after another. It also faced great losses in Karenni State. In other areas, mine attacks disorganised the army.
