Spring Revolution Daily News for 30 September 2023 

The National Unity Government (NUG) 

  • The NUG announced that renovating or changing or using Residence No. (54/56) on University Avenue in Bahan Township of Yangon Region was strictly prohibited and that there would be serious action against those who fail to follow it. 
  • In Myinmu Town of Sagaing Region, an alliance of Federal Wings conducted bomb attacks on the junta administration office and police station where the junta armed forces had been stationing. 
  • At 2:00 pm Friday, there was a meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and Committee Representing Yangon Regional Hluttaw. 
  • Somewhere in Sagaing Region, there was a meeting on 22 September among the team led by U Myint Htwe, the Chair of Committee Representing Sagaing Regional Hluttaw, members of Monywa Strike Committee and leaders of Yinmabin-Salingyi Rally. 
  • At 3:00 pm Friday, there was a meeting (8/2023) between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and District People’s Administration. 
  • Ministry of Human Rights-NUG expressed their appreciation for the Human Rights High Commissioner and the team for their commitments to identify the inhumane treatment of the military junta and put pressure on the international community. 
  • Union Prime Minister of the NUG claimed that the offensive operation was satisfactory as the chain of command became more systematic in the PDFs. 
  • According to the Headquarters under Ministry of Defence-NUG, there was a bomb attack via drone on the injured soldiers from the junta army at Sayar San Hall in Dibeyin of Sagaing Region. 

Revolution Activities 

  • According to the Information and Communication Minister of Mizoram State in India, they would not collect the biometrics of Myanmar citizens who had run there due to local battles. 
  • In KyarIn Seikgyi Township of Kayin State, the junta army has established a new camp near Dagundine Village since 20 September. 
  • In Monywa of Sagaing Region, a combined force of PDFs attacked the junta army. Reportedly, 15 junta soldiers died. 
  • BlackFalcon Guerrilla Forces arrested Captain Aung Phyo Thein from the junta’s Northwest Military Headquarters on his arrival home. 
  • In Madayar Township of Mandalay Region, there was a bomb attack via drone on Yenathar Police Station. Reportedly, a junta policeman died and 4 others were injured. 

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) 

  • In Kyonedoe Township under Karen National Union, there were battles for five days between the junta army and a combined force of KNDO in Taunggya-In Village. Reportedly, 32 junta soldiers died. 
  • In Muse and Kutkhine Township on the China-Myanmar Border, there has been fighting between the junta army and Ta’ang National Liberation Army. Reportedly, over 1000 local people had to run away along the border and even into China. 
  • In Matupi Township of Chin State, the junta army burned houses and barns. According to the Local People’s Administration, they provided financial support to the victims. 
  • In Kachin State, a 120mm grenade fired by the junta army fell and exploded on a camp of the Arakan Army (AA) near Laiza, the headquarters of Kachin Independence Army. Reportedly, a captain from the AA lost his life. 
  • On the entrance to Kanpetlet in Chin State, the flags of Chin State and Chin Defence Force were hoisted. 
  • In Mindat Township of Chin State, the junta army Ka-La-Ya (274) fired mortars, injuring two children. 
  • In Kutkhine Township of Northern Shan State, there was a battle between the junta army and the TNLA. 
  • In Wa Self-Administered Region, United Wa State Army met with Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) on 26 September. 

The Military Council 

  • The junta’s Representative Office in Switzerland announced that the report on Myanmar by the Human Rights High Commissioner and the discussion on Myanmar at the 54th Human Rights Council Conference were unnecessary matters. 
  • In Kathar Township of Sagaing Region, the junta troops conducted mine explosions to destroy the power lines under the arrangements of the local people’s administration. 
  • According to the information of the Chair of International Court of Justice, the Myanmar delegation met with the team from Gambia. 
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing stated that they would dismiss those who abuse positions for their self-interest and there would be action against them. 
  • According to the Election Commission in Rakhine State, they have been checking the number of members for registered political parties in the area. 
  • The junta leader said that they had invited other countries to attend the 8th anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement. 

Summary on 30 September 

  • Along with powerful revolution, the EAOs have been able to control more areas. At the same time, the PDFs have been able to take control of the junta camps one after another. 
  • Despite the abuse of power for his own family, Min Aung Hlaing has oppressed his juniors for doing the same.
