The Military Council

  • According to the junta newspaper, the military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing met with Russian representatives led by Deputy Chief Officer of the Navy on a Russian military vessel at Thilawa Harbour in Yangon and discussed matters on exchange of information and technology for maritime security between the two countries.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing instructed to reopen public places in Yangon, including Revolution Park, Horseriding Association and the sports area, on 1st November, in accordance with COVID-19 preventive measures.
  • Major General Mya Tun, the junta minister of Defence, admitted that the junta army had let 1029 children resign and sent them back to their parents as they had been wrongly recruited. The rest would be reviewed systematically and the same would be done.
  • The junta Road Transportation Administration Department announced on Saturday that despite their plan for driving licence services on 1st November, it was put off.
  • The junta Ministry of Health announced that instead of 50 people, no more than 100 ones were not to gather and legal action would be taken against those who fail to follow the rules and regulations.
  • Against the junta rule of no more than 100 people, about 150 people got together and conducted a pro-military rally in Myitgyina. Reportedly, no legal action was taken against them.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG made an announcement calling for no violence in the fight against the military junta based on prejudice, no lawless killing and avoidance of verbal or written stimuli for violence against civilians, especially children.
  • To tear down the military dictatorship and lift up Myanmar’s education sector again, a fund-raising virtual live show would be organized on 13th November, under the theme - “Revolution by Education, Victory Flag of the Spring”.
  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights-NUG, urged everyone to keep the spirit of revolution like a not-rich-but-happy town, which the junta army set on fire, and fight against the military junta that would set fire to the whole country.
  • Dr. Sasa, Minister of International Relations-NUG, announced that the junta army violently set on fire the whole town in Tantlang of Chin State. Without interference and support of international community, there would be more deaths of civilians and similar violent activities throughout the country.
  • The NUG announced that they had finished their pilot project for the sale of the Spring Lottery and a new form of sale would come soon.
  • At the 76th UN General Assembly on Saturday, ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun called on the international community to take immediate action against the military junta for their inhumane activities, including setting fire to Tantlang of Chin State on Friday.
  • The NUG expressed their strong condemnation against violent activities of the junta army throughout the country, including the case of Tantlang in Chin State the previous day. They also announced that they would keep their support for the public, victims of the military junta, as much as they could, in accordance with the motto - “The people will stand for each other”.

Revolution Activities

  • In Tantlang of Chin State, 163 houses and 2 churches were burnt to ashes due to the violent activities of the junta army.
  • In Hakha of Chin State, the military junta placed a sheet of paper in front of Dr. Lyanmone Sarkaung’s house, saying that the house would be confiscated by the State.
  • In Paletwa Township, military officer of the junta army (11) instructed at the meeting of general administration department that a pro-military rally would be conducted there on 1st November.
  • In a village of Natmauk Township, there was a farm strike against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Kani Township of Sagaing Region with warfare tension, there was a motorbike protest against the military dictatorship.
  • In Pha-Kant of Kachin State, nearly 500 people marched for the KIA, PDF and NUG on Saturday. They also protested against the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In North Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, youth carried out an anti-junta movement on Saturday.
  • On Saturday morning, Mayangone General Strike led a protest, holding signs - “Let’s not give money to the military junta to save Myanmar”.
  • In South Dagon Township, a combined rally of students’ union conducted a movement on Friday, hanging a banner against the slavery education of the military junta.
  • On Saturday morning, a combined rally of Ta-Ka-Tha students, Octopus, LGBTs, township strike committees and labour unions marched in the rain for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • In Mingaladone Township, anti-junta youth and students made a paper strike in front of Sangyiwa Ward administration office at about 5:00 am Saturday. Reportedly, the junta armed forces faced bomb attacks twice on their way to conduct a crackdown on that protest.
  • In Mingala Taung Nyunt, Latha and Kyauktadar townships, Yangon youth and students placed anti-junta posters on Friday.
  • As a 234-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning.
  • On Saturday morning, Kalay people protested against the military dictatorship, showing their support for Tantlang people and condemning the junta army setting fire to 300 houses in Tantlang of Chin State.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning.
  • In Myinmu Township, a MyTel telecom tower was blown up with mines.
  • In Longlone Township, youth expressed their desire against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Maha Aungmye Township, 4 civilians had been unjustly arrested. Reportedly, 2 of them were killed and 2 others were missing.
  • On Saturday morning, there was a bomb attack on the junta armed forces in a car on patrol in Seinban Ward of Maha Aungmye Township. Reportedly, a member in uniform died in the incident.
  • In Ngaputaw Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, a combined force of local PDFs blew up 3 MyTel telecom towers in Ngayote Kaung and another one in Haigyi on Saturday morning.
  • In Mawlamyein, there was an explosion at Myenigone Ward administration office at about 6:00 pm Friday.

Summary on 30th October

  • The junta armed forces conducted attacks targeting civilians on purpose. Therefore, the junta leaders must be held accountable for such activities. Most people see them as disgusting creatures as the junta army threaten to destroy houses of the public and the pro-military community supports such violence.
  • In Chin State and Sagaing Region, there were battles with high tension. As for Yangon, Mandalay, other states and regions, they had protests and activities of guerrilla revolution.
