The National Unity Government (NUG)

 

  • The NUG sent a statement expressing sorrow for the loss of Myawaddy Mingyi Sayardaw, a monk who had joined the general public and protested against the military dictatorship. Reportedly, the funeral was organized by NUG government representatives and Spring Revolution forces.
  • At 1:00 pm on Friday, there was a meeting among the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), the NUG Union Prime Minister, NUG Union Ministers of Defence, Home Affairs and Immigration, and the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration.
  • For the brothers, sisters and comrades who lost their lives in Kachin State, revolutionary forces in Melbourne, Australia and the Kachin Community organised a prayer event. Reportedly, present on the occasion was the NUG Deputy Minister of Human Rights.
  • At 10:00 am on Sunday, there was a meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and Special Regional Public Administration Teams.
  • In accordance with the right to self-defence, the public has been taking part in a People’s Defensive War. Reportedly, up to 71 members of the junta armed forces died and 22 others were injured on Friday.

 

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Nyaung-U Township in Mandalay Region, an alliance of PDFs attacked the police station in Ngathayaut at about 4:00 pm on Saturday. Reportedly, 11 members of the junta police, including officers, died and seven weapons were confiscated. According to Myingyan District PDF, it was an act of revenge for the raid by the junta army on the PDF Camp in Praingma Village in Myaung Township.
  • In Ngazun Township, a local police officer Yar Zar Win Myint and a policeman Aung Thu were shot by PDFs at a KTV (karaoke venue) on Saturday evening. Reportedly, one of them died and another one was injured.
  • In Monywa Township in Sagaing Region, Myat Noe Kyaw, a staff member of the junta immigration office, administrator of Nandawun Ward and Pyu Saw Htee leader, was shot dead by Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT).
  • On Sunday, the Kalay General Strike marched against the military dictatorship.
  • On Sunday, a combined rally of villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • Golden Triangle Force Battalion (6) called for financial contributions of 150 lakh MMK to pay for an AK 47 gun to fight the junta army,
  • Reportedly, an Anti-Junta Youth Music Band has been performing music shows to raise funds for the PDFs and IDPs in Kani Township.
  • In Bangkok in Thailand, Underground Family had a collection for the Spring Revolution on Sunday.
  • Due to audience requests the movie- ‘The Road Not Taken’ by Director Ko Pauk was shown again in South Korea.
  • In New York in the United States, a combined rally of people from Myanmar, Iran and Ukraine expressed their sorrow for those who had lost their lives in the junta’s bombing in Hpakant in Kachin State. They also marched against the military dictatorship in Myanmar.
  • In Pathein in Ayeyarwaddy Region, there was a grenade attack on the house of U Soe Paing, the junta Chair of the local city development committee, at about 8:00 pm on Saturday.
  • In Yebyu Township in Tanintharyi Region, five junta soldiers on watch duty at the junta navy ran away.
  • Saifuddin Abdullah, the Malaysian Foreign Minister, stated that he had proposed a meeting with the NUG during the emergency meeting of ASEAN Foreign Ministers in Jakarta in Indonesia.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • Somewhere in Karenni State, the one-year anniversary of Fight For Justice – JPDF was celebrated on Thursday.
  • In Moemauk Township in Kachin State, there have been heavy battles on a daily basis. Reportedly, there were casualties among civilians due to junta armed forces gunfire.

The Military Council

  • On Sunday, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing gave a name and prestigious title to the little white elephant in Naypyidaw.
  • According to the junta propaganda media, the amendment of National Education Law was adopted on Saturday.
  • On Saturday evening, Ko Thet Zaw (alias Ko Zaw Thet Htwe), a political prisoner, was released from prison.
  • Starting from 31 October, parcel deliveries for prison inmates will reportedly resume.
  • The junta Minister of Industry said that in addition to the main production of peanut oil and sesame oil in the country, the production of any other oil such as sunflower, soya bean and mustard seeds would reduce foreign currency expenditure on imported edible oil.
  • Pillar Media, a junta propaganda media, falsely claimed that PDFs had thrown flammable bottles at the school in Takwegyel Village in Yetashay Township, Bago Region.

Summary on 31 October

  • To pretend as a ruler of glory, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing sought white elephants and gave them prestigious titles. No matter what, his action it was just a funny joke for the people of the ICT and the Digital Age.
  • After wasting foreign currency on air strikes on civilians, the junta leader and his people called on the public to be thrifty with the use of foreign currency for imported product.
