The National Unity Government (NUG)

· The NUG announced that starting on 3 December, people’s administrations have started in Kawlin Township of Kawlin District in Sagaing Region.

· On 1 December, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG warned that non-CDM staff in Magwe Region have to hand over departmental documents to the respective people’s administrations and defect to the public.

· On 1 December, the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) adopted the policy on the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM).

· Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, the NUG Union Minister, stated that the revolution would surely win and it would enable the public to build a new nation.

Revolutionary Activities

· In Titain Township of Chin State, the junta army fired heavy weapons and conducted air strikes in local battles.

· In Monywa Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army raided and burnt Kyar Paing Village on Saturday morning. They also burnt 11 local people to death.

· In Pale Township, the junta forces stationed themselves in Myakone Village on the morning of 1 December and set fire to people’s houses.

· In Butalin Township of Monywa District, there were bomb attacks from drones on 4 junta army places on 1 December. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died.

· In Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region, revolutionary forces attacked the junta army Ka-Ma-Ya (599) based in Mone Town and the junta’s Myoma Police Station.

· In Myeik Township and Tanintharyi Township of Tanintharyi Region, the revolutionary forces attacked a junta army camp and a junta convoy carrying weapons.

· In Muse of Northern Shan State, a child lost their life and an old woman was injured in the junta’s air strike.

· In Khayan Township of Yangon Region, there was a powerful bomb attack from drones on a junta station.

· In Milan, Italy, the Way, the revolution’s musical film, was shown. Reportedly, the Chair of Alcide Cervi Institute and the focal person of Myanmar’s affairs from Amnesty International delivered the speeches there. Kim Aris, the son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, also sent a video message.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· According to the Kokang, Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army has shot dead over 100 junta soldiers, who had refused to give up arms and who had run away from the junta army in Konegyan under control of the MNDAA. They have also been after more than 200 others.

· In the Kokang Area of Northern Shan State, the junta army fired mortars and conducted air strikes in the places where civilians live. According to the MNDAA, 7 people including women and children lost their lives and some others were injured.

· In Kawkarait Township of Kayin State, a combined force of the Karen National Union took control of 2 junta camps. They then had heavy fighting against the junta armed forces inside and outside the town.

· According to Loikaw PDF, the weapon warehouse in the compound of the junta army Ka-La-Ya (54) was burnt to ashes in a drone attack.

The Military Council

· The junta propaganda leader Major General Zaw Min Tun stated that they, in cooperation with China, successfully completed a military exercise.

· The junta propaganda leader claimed that the MNDAA had captured and recruited those aged between 15 and 40 working in Lauk Kaing. Reportedly, most of the youth were Shan and Ta’ang Palaung ethnic people.

Summary on 4 December

· The military junta has suffered great losses in battles. Consequently, they have openly used hate speech and racist propaganda on state-run media.

· With powerful momentum, the revolutionary forces have been able to take control of a large number of junta camps and over 20 towns.
