The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • To support members of the revolutionary forces fighting against the junta at Ukrihta Base Camp in Myawaddy Township in Kayin State, over 46 lakh MMK was reportedly received through NUG Pay.
  • Via the One-Day Challenge, Anti-Coup Committee (Korea) has been supporting the NUG with funding worth $100,000 USD per month. Until 1 July, they had contributed $900,000 USD.
  • In Kani Township in Sagaing Region, students, teachers, parents and the public joined an NUG school funfair and prize-giving ceremony.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In front of the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok in Thailand, Myanmar people expressed their displeasure on Sunday, holding the photos of Daw Aung San Su Kyi and stamping on photos of Min Aung Hlaing.
  • On Sunday, the Kalay General Strike marched against the military dictatorship, stepping on a photo of Min Aung Hlaing.
  • In Yinmabin North in Sagaing Region, a rally of villagers protested against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In Chaung-U Township, the Basic Students’ Union conducted an anti-junta movement on Sunday, hanging a banner for participation in the revolution.
  • On Min Aung Hlaing's birthday, a rally from the western bank of the Chindwin River prayed for the downfall of the junta leader and the junta army.
  • On Sunday, a combined rally of local villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched against the military dictatorship on the Pathein-Monywa Road.
  • In Chaung-U Township, an alliance of 12 PDFs conducted two attacks via drone on Saturday. Reportedly, no less than 12 junta soldiers died.
  • In Myaung Township, the junta army was stationed in Shweban Village for three days from 29 June. On their way out, there was a clash between them and local PDFs.
  • Two military jets fired into Dibeyin Township on Saturday, the one-year anniversary of the attack at Supbyagyin Village.
  • In Hopone in Shan south, anti-junta youths conducted a toilet strike on the birthday of Min Aung Hlaing.
  • In Pauk Township in Magwe Region, the junta army raided Thayetkan Village at 10:00 a.m. Sunday and set fire to the whole village.
  • In the Yaw Area of Tilin Township, over 1,500 people have had to run away due to attacks by the junta armed forces. Reportedly, YDF Tilin has been providing assistance to them.
  • On the 66 th birthday of the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, there was a banner somewhere in Yangon, ‘It’s time for you, Min Aung Hlaing, to die’.
  • In Tamway Township, there was an explosion at the administration office in Kyargwetthit Ward on Sunday afternoon.
  • On Sunday, Hpakant people protested against the military dictatorship at the Mekong-Lanchang meeting which was held in Bagan.
  • In South Korea, a combined rally of Myanmar and Korean people, led by Daegu Sayardaw, expressed their suopport for the NUG and against the military dictatorship.
  • On the birthday of the junta leader who has killed thousands of people, the public called for the death of Min Aung Hlaing and his family.
  • In Tanintharyi Township and Kyungsu Township of Tanintharyi Region, two men, allegedly junta informers, were shot dead.
  • In Pulaw, the junta army raided some houses in Ward (3) at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday and took away valuable things. They also arrested the families from those houses.
  • In the Taungpyaut area of Thayetchaung Township, over 5,000 local people had to run away on Saturday morning due to the invasion of the junta army.
  • In Mindat Township in Chin State, two military jets dropped bombs on Chup Village at about 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Reportedly, four people died and 15 others got injured.
  • In Mandalay, U Nyunt Win, a Pyu Saw Htee leader and junta informer, was shot many times at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and a grenade was thrown at his house, according to Anonymous of Mandalay.
  • In Maha Aungmye Township, a group of men, including one in military uniform, robbed a Yamin furniture shop.
  • In Pathein in Ayeyarwaddy Region, three political prisoners were sentenced to 10 years in prison by the junta court at the prison.
  • In Gyankhine Township, the junta army arrested four people from Sabaroh Village on Saturday night, accusing them of having contact with PDFs.
  • In the town of Ama and its neighbouring areas the military junta has been forcing local people to do watch duty at schools.
  • On Sunday, the 25 th or silver anniversary of the Karen Information Center (KIC) was celebrated on Thai-Myanmar border.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Kyaukgyi Township under the administration of the Karen National Union (KNU), the junta army set fire to Lawmupe Village at about 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
  • In the area under KNU Brigade (5), there were more than 200 battles in June. Reportedly, over 90 junta soldiers died and 50 others were injured.

  • In Mon State, U Pan Myint and U Ko Ko Mg, NLD members who had been arrested together with NLD M.P. U Kyaw Myo Min on 22 June, were ruthlessly killed by the junta army.
  • In Mone Township in Bago Region, the KNU conducted attacks and took control of five junta army camps simultaneously. Reportedly, four junta soldiers, including officers, died and many others ran away.
  • The first women's KNDF force has been set up. Reportedly, they will conduct a campaign for the revolution from 1 to 21 July.

The Military Council

  • In the Naypyitaw Council Area, the very first floating solar project will reportedly be implemented in the 2023-24 financial year.
  • On Saturday, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that Aung San Stadium would be upgraded to an Olympic standard.
  • The junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun said that there is fuel oil in reserve to help with the country's fuel security.
  • The military junta announced that lunch had been served to staff to celebrate the anniversary of Central Bank. Reportedly, there was also a lucky draw for staff members working at bank's headquarters and branches.
  • Daw Than Than Swe, the junta Vice-Chair of the Central Bank who was shot at her home, was seen again at the Central Bank 70 th anniversary celebrations in Naypyitaw on Saturday.
  • The junta Chin State Government has been making arrangements for the reconstruction of Tantalang, Town that was burned down by the junta armed forces.

Summary on 4 July

  • Throughout the country, there were strikes where the junta leader was cursed on his birthday. Judging from this, it can be seen that most people are against the coup.
  • In Chin, Sagaing and Kayin states, the junta armed forces suffered great losses, so they conducted air strikes targeting civilians. The airstrikes caused great fear amongst the public.
  • As for Kayin State, there were heavy battles throughout the state. As the military junta has had to let go of some camps, they have destroyed people's property and attacked civilian targets as usual.
