The Military Council

  • The second junta leader Soe Win said that the request of ASEAN Special Envoy for a meeting with State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi was beyond legal procedures.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing met with Bill Richardson, the former governor of New Mexico State in the US, and exchanged views on COVID-19 prevention, treatment, control, vaccination and support of the US for COVID-19 vaccines.
  • According to the military junta, the junta Ministry of Health, in cooperation with research departments, will make an effort to locally produce COVID-19 vaccines from start to finish.
  • The junta newspaper noted that assassins had killed Htaing Win, the junta railway communication officer who had threatened and put pressure on CDM staff. It falsely claimed that U Phyo Zayar Thaw, Nay Pyi Taw MP, had supported weapons behind the scenes.
  • The military junta said assassins killed a woman who sent food daily to the junta people at YMBA office and those who had cleared junta-pillars in Hlaing Dawbone. They also accused U Phyo Zayar Thaw of giving instruction from behind the scenes.
  • Despite the junta army having set fire to Tantlang in Chin State, the junta newspaper falsely claimed that it had been done by local PDFs.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Ministry of Defence- NUG announced that 7 soldiers and 5 policemen made contact to join the public as they no longer wanted the oppression of the junta armed forces and the military dictatorship.
  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights- NUG, said that setting fire to Tantlang was an inhumane violation of human rights as well as openly committing war crimes by burning the whole town.
  • U Aung Myo Min also said that they had been trying to obtain punishment through the international justice system against those who had done wrong.

Revolution Activities

  • Despite tight security measures on the one-way street near the central fire department in Pyi, youth hung anti-junta posters there.
  • In the south of Kalay in Sagaing Region, the junta army shot mortars into Natchaung, Natmyaung and Chaungkwa villages. According to local residents, the mortars fell and exploded in the villages, killing a woman.
  • In Kalay Township, local residents had to run away as the junta armed forces raided Natchaung, Natmyaung and Chaungkwa villages. Reportedly, junta soldiers broke into houses and stole valuable things.
  • As a 238-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East, led by women, marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday, holding signs - ‘Rape is just the fault of the rapist’.
  • In Latbadaung Taung area of Salingyi Township, a combined rally of General Strike and Monywa Students’ Union protested against the military dictatorship on Wednesday, chanting ‘There must be war for peace’.
  • In Tigyaint Township, a military convoy was attacked with mines by local PDFs at about 1:30 am Wednesday. Reportedly, no less than 8 junta soldiers died and many others were injured.
  • In Shwebo Township, local people marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • With the accusation of having relations with local PDF, 6 residents of Sintkai and Palait were arrested by the junta army. Reportedly, they have been out of touch with their families.
  • The association of Kalay University Students majoring in Myanmar released a statement that 3 new lecturers replacing CDM ones were regarded as the wrong-doers in history.
  • As a 269-day protest, Kalay people expressed their desire against the military dictatorship on Wednesday, in memory of hero Zin Myo Maung who had lost his life 8 months ago.
  • On Wednesday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement.
  • In Mandalay, Yadanarbone University Students’ Union led a march against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • On Wednesday, a combined rally of Chanaye Thazan and Chanmya Thazi Township Students’ Unions carried out a campaign, calling for standing with ethnic people and the boycott against military products.
  • In Pekone Township of Shan South, the junta army stationing in Lwepwe village set fire to people’s houses. Reportedly, they were cleared by a local PDF and Karenni combined force who managed to put out the fire in time.
  • On Wednesday afternoon, Kyaw Soe Thu, junta-appointed director of Kayar State Parliament Office, was shot and seriously injured.
  • In South Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, there was a protest against the military dictatorship on Wednesday, burning the image of the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing.
  • In Thanlyin Township, 3 junta traffic policemen were shot dead by local PDF on Wednesday.
  • In Hleku Township, the junta army raided a compound with Eugenia trees at Nyaungnabin industrial zone, accusing PDFs of staying there. Reportedly, they arrested the owner and two workers.
  • In Kanpetlet Township of Chin State, the lists of CDM and non-CDM staff would be released after 10th November. According to local CDF, they would draw up a policy on how to take action against non-CDM ones.
  • According to Tunzan CDF, a soldier named Mg Haut In Lyan (ID 519703) from the junta army (335) In Mailar of Shan State joined the public and CDF Tunzan in Chin State.
  • On Tuesday night, Myaing Township Basic Education General Strike Committee, in cooperation with the public, marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Gadatnge village of Longlone Township, the junta army could not find a wanted man and thus, they arrested his wife, his 2-year-old child and his uncle.
  • According to Yay Township PDF, a military car was attacked with mines on Thanphyu Zayat-Yay highway in Mon State at about 8:00 am Wednesday.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • KNDP announced on Wednesday that the junta army had been destroying houses and churches in Chin State on purpose and committing genocide.

Summary on 3rd November

  • The military junta rejected the proposal for a meeting of the ASEAN Special Envoy with State Counsellor, contained in the ASEAN 5-point consensus. In Chin and Kayar, the junta armed forces have been setting fire to public’s houses and committing war crimes constantly. They will have to repay for their action.
  • As for the NUG, they have been making an effort to take legal action against war crimes by the military junta.
  • In conflict areas, the junta armed forces have been killing local residents for no apparent reason.
  • There were battles in Sagaing, Kayah and Chin. The military junta prohibited access to food and medicine for the IDPs, and arrested supporters.
  • In Mandalay, protests regained momentum, with a rally of monks who objected to injustice every day without fail. As for Yangon, Mon, Magwe, Sagaing, Bago and Dawei, they had public protests as well as activities of guerrilla revolution and junta-informer clearance operation on a daily basis.
