The Military Council

  • According to the junta media, second junta leader Soe Win and his team paid homage to Dr. Ashin Nyanissara, Thidagu Sayardaw, and the abbot at Theravada Buddhist centre in Moscow. They also donated lunch and other items.
  • On Thursday, the junta Ministry of Health conducted a coordination meeting on doing research for the use of traditional medicine in prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
  • According to township health department, the first dose of Sinovac vaccination got started in 11 IDP camps in Myaybone Township of Rakhine State on Thursday.
  • According to the junta media, the culture team of the junta army took part in cultural competitions in Russia and won prizes; first prize in performance with traditional dress, second prize in individual performance with a Russian song, second prize in performance highlighting culture of the country and third prize via online voting.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In the discussion with the sub-committee of foreign affairs and assistance under the joint committee on foreign affairs, security and trade of Australian Parliament, Dr. Sasa, Minister of International Cooperation-NUG, said that 54 million Myanmar people had to suffer again from crimes against humanity, war crimes and ethnic cleansing under the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing and their junta army conducting genocide.
  • In the meeting with the sub-committee on foreign affairs and assistance, Dr. Sasa, Minister of International Cooperation, said that there was no implementation yet although it was over 4 months since ASEAN’s 5-point consensus on Myanmar was agreed.
  • The NUG requested the Australian government to put more financial pressure on all the members of the military junta or so-called interim government, and to put financial sanctions on military-owned and military-related businesses as well as junta cronies who had been working for the funding of the military junta, which would do harm to Myanmar people.
  • The NUG issued part (5) of preparation plan for the public during conflicts, containing what should be included in the emergency bags of individuals.

Revolution Activities

  • In Pale Township of Sagaing Region, over 50000 local residents of 19 villages had to run away due to the news that the junta armed forces would raid those villages on Friday.
  • In Kyaukme of Shan State, there was a robbery at KBZ bank at about 1:50 pm Friday.
  • On Friday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • On Friday, a combined rally of Maha Aungmye, engineers and Mandala University Students marched against the military watchdog, in memory of Ma Kyel Zin who lost her life 6 months ago due to gunfire by the junta armed forces.
  • On Friday, a rally led by Mandalay Monks’ Union marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • On Friday, a rally of Mandalay variety forces held a salute event in memory of heroine Ma Kyel Zin who lost her life in the protest on 3rd March, wearing the shirt - “Everything will be OK”. They also marched against the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • On Wednesday, a group of junta soldiers raped a mentally-impaired woman and stabbed a villager to death in Khintha village of Pale Township.
  • On Thursday night, local residents made a protest against the military watchdog in a village of Monywa-Amyint road-side community.
  • On Friday, a combined rally of Monywa-Amyint road-side villages marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Tantsi, 4 military trucks were hit with 6 mines at about 4:15 am Friday. According to local residents, a military truck was destroyed and it was still unknown about casualties.
  • On Friday, a rally comprising various villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • According to group of Bad Guys with Good Hearts, Phyo Zarti Maw, informer to the junta, was killed on Thursday midnight in Sulaygone village of Myaung Township.
  • On Friday morning, Kalay townspeople protested against the military dictatorship.
  • On Friday, Myaing Township Basic Education General Strike Committee, in cooperation with the public from south east zone, expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • At a village of Natmauk Township in Magwe Region, sesame farmers led a protest against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In the south of Pauk Township, the junta armed forces set fire to the houses in Tatgone village on Friday morning.
  • According to some local residents, 80 junta soldiers raided Anyaphya village, included in the area of KNU Regiment (4), in the east of Dawei.
  • In Longlone Township, Rosy rally, led by women, marched in the rain on Friday morning and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Yangon, a rally of the General Strike committee, in cooperation with township committees, marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Friday morning.
  • In Hlaing Township, July Moe, junta-appointed 100-household leader and junta informer, was shot dead at Ingyin Myein tea-shop in Ward (1) at about 6:00 pm Thursday.
  • In Mingala Taung Nyunt Township, two bombs exploded near a military-owned fish-sauce factory on Friday morning. According to local residents, a military truck was damaged.
  • On Friday, Mawlamyein youth made an indoors strike, calling for a helping hand for CDM staff against the military junta.
  • In Kyaukdaga Township in Bago Region, the junta armed forces raided Aungmyingone village and Sitbogyi village, where Chin ethnic people had been living, on Friday morning. Consequently, men and young people had to run away.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Pha-Ang Township of Kayin State, there was a fighting near Ledawgyi village, between KNLA Regiment (1) and the junta army, at about 6:30 am Friday. According to the KNU, 3 junta soldiers died and 5 others were injured.
  • In the speech at a training of KNU Regiment (7) on Thursday, Lieutenant General Man Zartogaw urged the troops to fight to oust the junta army.
  • In Yay Township of Mon State, the junta armed forces arrived near Kyonelong village under the influence of NMSP, on Friday morning.

Summary on 3rd September

  • The military junta deployed armed forces near the area of Mon ethnic armed people, which did not have military operation for years. Before that, they had done the same in Kayin, Kayar, Kachin, Chin and Sagaing. They had been preparing to confront D-Day of the NUG, which was popular online. After Naing Han Tha, chair of NMSP, said that it was necessary to support the NUG and it was useless to cooperate with the military junta, they started to prepare for military operation in that area.
  • In Mandalay, various rallies marched in memory of Ma Kyel Zin who lost her life 6 months ago due to the junta armed forces. As for Yangon, they had guerrilla revolution and guerrilla protests. In Sagaing with powerful armed revolution, the junta armed forces arrested and oppressed local residents as they could not catch PDFs. In some areas, thousands of local residents had to run away.
  • In Kayin, there were clashes between Kayin forces and the junta army invading the areas. The military junta had a great loss there. In Kayar, Chin, Shan North and Kachin, there was no such news until Friday evening. Assumingly, they were in the position of confrontation.
  • As for the NUG, they had been discussing with some countries how to confront the military junta.
