The National Unity Government (NUG)

· In a regular meeting of the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), the Ministry of Communication, Information and Technology presented its action plans.

· At 1:00 pm Monday, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG provided Public Financial Management Training to the Township People’s Administration from Sagaing Region.

· Daw Zin Mar Aung, the Union Minister of Foreign Affairs- NUG, responded via Facebook that she had not told Nikkei Asia the NUG was preparing for the meeting with the military junta.

· In Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region, all the junta army camps in Mone Town were seized and there was still fighting until Monday morning.

· According to the Kathar Township People’s Administration Team, they made two announcements for non-CDM staff in the area to defect to them and 85 junta employees joined the public.

Revolutionary Activities

· In Ponnagyun Township of Rakhine State, the junta army set fire to people’s houses and paddy fields on Sunday.

· In Kyaikto Township of Mon State, a combined force of PDFs attacked the junta inspection gate on Moatpalin Crossroads with mortars.

· In Madayar Township of Mandalay Region, the junta army fired heavy weapons for no apparent reason. Consequently, some people got injured.

· In Myinmu of Sagaing Region, there was an attack on the junta army taking security measures at the Myanma Economics Bank. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers might have died.

· In Wetlet Area, members of the Burmese Students’ Union and local people conducted an anti-junta movement on Monday.

· In Saw Township of Magwe Region, a sergeant from Myoma Police Station defected to Gantgaw District PDF, along with the family and weapons.

· In Kayan Township of Yangon Region, local PDFs conducted a drone attack with powerful bombs on the junta soldiers at the junta’s Bepauk Inspection Gate.

· In Oatpho Township of Bago Region, local PDF tried to arrest the three junta soldiers who had raped a disabled woman. Reportedly, they caught one of the perpetrators and shot dead the others as they attempted to run away.

· In Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia, the Freedom Movement led by the younger son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was conducted at the office of Education and Healthcare for Myanmar- Malaysia.

· In Kyaikto Township, there were attacks on the junta armed forces at Moatpalin Crossroads Inspection Gate and at Shwe Zedi Ngwe Zedi Hills. Reportedly, 5 junta soldiers died.

· In KyarIn Seikgyi Township of Kayin State, CDM teachers, local women and youth groups conducted a 16-day public movement at the local market to commemorate International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

· In New York of the United States, Helping Hands for Burma organized Global Freedom Tattoo Campaign led by the younger son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi at Pitti Adult Daycare Center. They also sold temporary tattoos.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· According to the technical assistance team under the Thanglang Township People’s Administration in Chin State, access to the internet started to be available via private Wi-Fi in some places.

· In Paletwa Township of Chin State, there was a clash between the junta army and Arakan Army (AA). According to the Northern Alliance on Sunday night, the military junta airstrikes dropped chemical gas munitions.

· In Muse Township of Northern Shan State, the junta army conducted an air strike on a village. According to the Ta’ang National Liberation Army, there were casualties among civilians including a baby.

· The United Wa State Army announced that the displaced people entering the Wa Area must obtain temporary stay permits at nearby police stations.

The Military Council

· Throughout the country, the armed wives of junta soldiers, have had to take security measures at their units. At such time, the military junta declared that they would provide an amnesty to deserters and those on absent leave for recruitment.

· The military junta announced that it had been taking legal action against the companies that had overcharged for fuel oil.

· Starting from 1 December, the junta Ministry of Electricity will charge 250,000MMK to install a home power meter. Previously installations cost just 120,000MMK.

Summary on 5 December

· The junta soldiers have given up arms in local battles. In addition, a large number of non-CDM staff have joined the public. The junta army has been not only disorganized but also malfunctioning.

· With a great loss of human resources, the military junta is trying to persuade deserters and those on absent leave an amnesty to return so that it can strengthen its forces again.
