The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs-NUG announced that they would keep close cooperation with the United States and ASEAN member countries.
  • On Friday, Ministry of Education-NUG released recommendations on the interim education assessment and transitions from one grade to another.
  • On Friday, there was a meeting through video conferencing between the Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the Ministry of International Cooperation-NUG.
  • Minister of Human Rights-NUG said that they were getting started with queries in Turkey to take legal action against the military junta with the charge of war crimes.

Revolution Activities

  • On Saturday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • In Kyaukbadaung Township of Mandalay Region, the junta army shot dead two young men from Bote Village on Saturday morning. Reportedly, they did not give back their dead bodies.
  • Amidst tight security measures in Pyin Oo Lwin Township, there were anti-junta posters in National Park.
  • In Tamu Township of Sagaing Region, the township education office was set on fire at 3:00 pm Saturday. Reportedly, it was burnt to ashes.
  • On Saturday, Kalay General Strike marched against the junta slavery education.
  • In Taze Township, there were battles between local PDFs and the junta armed forces setting fire to villages from 29 May to 1 June. Reportedly, 49 junta soldiers died.
  • As a 450-day protest, a combined rally of villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Sonechaung Village of Yinmabin Township, local people marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Saturday morning, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Ayadaw Township, a local strike committee led a protest against the junta slavery education in a village on Saturday.
  • In Yinmabin Township, local PDF attacked the junta army holding a school opening ceremony on Thursday. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died.
  • In Kamma Township of Magwe Region, Phyo Min Aung, a member of Kyattoe Police Camp, joined the Myaing Villages’ Revolution Force, together with weapons on Friday.
  • In Gantgaw Township, a military convoy was attacked with mines by local PDF. Reportedly, there might have been casualties among junta soldiers. According to local sources, those junta armed forces have been setting fire to local villages.
  • In Saw Township, the junta army arrested 4 people from Simi Village and a traveler.
  • In Saw Township, Ko Aung Ko Lin, a member of CDM healthcare staff, lost his life on Thursday after a few days at an interrogation camp of the military junta.
  • In Thayetchaung Township of Taninthayi Region, local PDF attacked and took control of Thechaunggyi Police Camp on Friday. Reportedly, 4 members of the junta armed forces died in the battle.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Mutraw District under KNU, local responsible personnel opened Mutraw Junior College on Friday.
  • Chief Military Officer of Kayan Newland Army said that they would join hands with democratic forces and the alliance of ethnic armed organizations for the end of the military dictatorship and for the emergence of a true democratic union. He also said that it was
  • necessary for each of their members to keep active.
  • In Duplaya District under the control of KNU Brigade (6), Kyonedoe Township Department of Advocacy and Communication provided rice bags to 3 villages with IDPs.
  • On Saturday morning, a combined force of Pekone PDF and KNDF inspected a 6-wheel truck on Pekone-Loikaw Road. Reportedly, over 120 packages containing Dagon Red Beer, produced by the junta army, were found and destroyed.
  • In Thatone Township of Mon State, local guerrillas caught Captain Kyaw Zin Latt from the junta army, together with a sergeant, in Tonebolay Village on Thursday.
  • In Laiza- KIO Headquarters, KIO government conducted a tree planting event in commemoration of World Environment Day on Saturday morning.

The Military Council

  • To meet with the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, Maila Peace and Unity Committee from Special Area (4) of Shan East, led by Vice-Chair, was in Nay Pyi Taw.
  • The junta leader said that the progress of Myanmar’s sports could not be denied and it must proceed to world class.
  • In Yaminthin of Mandalay Region, ward administration teams have been demanding one person per household by force for a rally in support of the junta peace process.
  • The military junta accused PDF of committing a robbery at CB Bank Branch (2) in Pha-Ang of Kayin State.
  • In Kalay Township, the junta armed forces have been setting fire to schools and monasteries.However, the junta media falsely claimed that local PDF had burnt down No. 9 High School in Indie Ward of Kalay.
  • On Friday, the junta Central Bank announced that they had been making inspections to take legal action against the companies that failed to report income through imports.
  • The second junta leader Soe Win said that being a member of World Trade Organization and World Copyright Organization, Myanmar needs to follow the trade agreement related to copyright.
  • The military junta announced that 5.6 million students had begun attending schools throughout the country since 2 June for the 2022-23 academic year.

Summary on 4 June

  • Like the former USDP government, the military junta organized rallies in support of them. To show as if many people supported them, they demanded people attend by force.
  • In Sagaing and Magwe, there were a few protests. However as for Yangon, Mandalay and other areas, there were fewer anti-junta movements due to the extreme oppression of the junta armed forces. On the other hand, the armed revolution gained great momentum.
