The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • There was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and the Public Administration Teams of the Special Administrative Regions.
  • Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun claimed that all of the general public, including persons with disabilities, are facing human rights violations by the military junta.
  • People who buy the bonds in December will receive postcards containing the words of honor from the Chair of the Pao National Federal Council.
  • In Melbourne, Australia, the NUG Deputy Minister of Human Rights joined the campaign to ‘End violence against girls and women’.
  • Under the guidance of the NUG Ministry of Women, Youth and Children, Helping Hands to Burma (H2B) conducted a 16-day campaign to end violence against girls and women in New York in the United States on Monday.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Mingaladon Township in Yangon Region, the dead bodies of 13 young Muslim migrants from Rakhine State were found between Shwe Nanttha Village and Ngwe Nanttha Village.
  • In Sagaing Region, a combined rally of local villagers from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • In Htigyaint Township, the junta armed forces set fire to three local villages on the same day.
  • In Salingyi Township, the junta army burnt down 248 houses in four villages and burned two old women to death; a blind one aged 90 and another one who had suffered a stroke.
  • In Dibeyin Township, the junta armed forces set fire to over 140 houses in six local villages on Saturday and Sunday.
  • In New York in the United States, activists of Myanmar’s revolution led a multi-ethnic campaign to end of violence against girls and women. Reportedly, they also carried out a performance related to oppression under the military junta.
  • In the north of Yinmabin Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Monday at dawn.
  • In Pakkoku Township in Magwe Region, there was a bomb attack using a drone on Pyu Saw Htee members who were ploughing on peanut plantations that they had confiscated from the public by force.
  • In Waw Township in Bago Region, the administration office of Kandaw Ward was attacked with a timer bomb at 4:45 am Monday.
  • In Demoso Township in Karenni State, the Women’s League of Burma, the Burmese Women’s Union and the Rural Land led the white-ribbon campaign for the elimination of violence against women.
  • In Bokpyin Township in Tanintharyi Region, PDFs attacked the junta army point. Reportedly, three junta soldiers died and weapons were confiscated.
  • In Saiha District in Mizoram State in India, four Myanmar people were arrested in possession of weapons.
  • In Wandwin Township in Mandalay Region, junta administrators and advocates of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) have been persuading youths from some villages to join the junta-aligned Pyu Saw Htee militia.
  • Ethnic Armed Organisations
  • In Wan Hai in Shan State at the headquarters of the SSPP/SSA, a 44th Martyrs’ Day commemoration was conducted in memory of those who had died during the Shan State revolution.

The Military Council

  • The junta Minister of Trade and Commerce said that local demand for edible oil was a million tons per year, on average. He added that they had been reducing edible oil imports to increase the market share of local oil producers and to spend less foreign currency starting in the 2021-22 fiscal year.
  • The military junta has been carrying weapons and rations to the junta armed forces in Minbya in Rakhine State.
  • Starting on Monday, the junta Passport Team will suspend its online booking system.
  • In Gwa Township in Rakhine State, local people have been criticizing the demolition of football ground to turn it into a helicopter landing pad for visiting junta leaders.
  • Reportedly, the junta army took away the former Chair of the Kachin Baptist Convention (KBC) and his team from Mandalay Airport.
  • To prevent money laundering in Naypyitaw, states, regions and self-administered regions, those who would like to do real estate business must be registered with junta township administrations.
  • In Yangon, the junta army arrested Pho Chit, a renowned Myanmar performance artist.
  • A man from Moe Hnyin was arrested for sharing a video on social media about the junta’s indiscriminate firing of mortars.
  • The junta media stated that a delegation led by Union Chief Justice U Tun Tun Oo joined the 10th Russian Judges’ Conference in Moscow, Russia from 29 November to 1 December.

Summary on 6 December

  • Despite reducing the import of edible oil in an attempt to reduce foreign currency spending, the military junta faces shortages of edible oil and a high dollar cost for imported oil. Compared with the price of edible oil in the administration of the NLD government, it has increased dramatically.
  • Despite a ceasefire with Arakan Army (AA), the military junta has been sending rations and weapons to their armed forces in the area using waterways to transport them. They even destroyed the sports ground of Gwa Township to make a helicopter landing pad.
  • In Sagaing Region, junta soldiers have been constantly setting fire to local villages. They have been committing war crimes by killing civilians including the elderly.
