The National Unity Government (NUG) 

  • U Yi Mon, the NUG Minister of Defence, said that while trying to frighten the public with oppressions, the junta army themselves became fearful and based on their fear, they would keep making mistakes. 
  • On Wednesday, the NUG Minister of Defence said that the military junta has been struggling for political and military successes. 
  • At the 70th government meeting, the NUG Acting President said that he would not like to see their Ministers as political leaders who were distant from the public and they were to stand side-by-side with the people in times of suffering. 
  • There was a meeting between the NUG Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration, Township Public Administration Teams and Local Defence Forces from Sagaing and Magwe regions. 
  • Minister U Lwin Ko Latt said that after the statements about non-CDM staff, many of them had joined the public. He added that public’s administration and public’s security forces will take care of the service sector as well. 
  • In a speech on World Teachers’ Day, the NUG Acting President said that under the military dictatorship, Myanmar teachers had been risking their lives and teaching at schools to give students an interim education. 
  • At the 77th United Nations General Assembly, Myanmar’s Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun has been joining committee meetings and calling on the UN and the international community to pay attention to Myanmar’s issues and take action against the military junta. 
  • According to the NUG End of Dictatorship it has sold land confiscated by the junta army in Mandalay for over 10 million USD within three days. 

Revolutionary Activities 

  • In Myaing Township in Magwe Region, a combined rally of students, poets and local people marched against the military dictatorship. 
  • At Karenni IDP Camp No. (1) on the border of Thailand and Myanmar, there was an event in commemoration of World Teachers’ Day. 
  • On World Teachers’ Day, a combined rally of local people and students from Salingyi and Yinmabin held a bicycle strike against the military dictatorship. 
  • On a section of the Monywa-Kalaywa road, there was an anti-junta demonstration on Wednesday. 
  • In Pinlebu Township in Sagaing Region, the junta armed forces conducted an air strike on Panku Village on 8 September. They then raided the village and set it on fire. Consequently, 64 houses were burnt down. 
  • To commemorate World Teachers’ Day, a combined rally in white from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East expressed its objection to the military dictatorship. 
  • According to the Natogyi Regional Defence Force(NDRF), they will be conducting their Setlet Campaign to raise 300 lakh MMK for the revolutionary fund from 29 September to 30 October. 
  • In Kachin State, a rally from Hpakant marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday. 
  • In Tanintharyi Township in Tanintharyi Region, a Pyu Saw Htee member named Ko Naing was arrested together with a gun in Nyaungbingwin Village. 
  • In Pulaw Township, King Cobra attacked the junta army stationing near Pawutgone Village at about 4:00 pm Tuesday. Reportedly, four junta soldiers died. 

Ethnic Armed Organisations 

  • According to the Arakan Army (AA), more than 82,000 people have been displaced from 11 townships in Rakhine State and the Paletwa Area of Chin State. 
  • In Yathaytaung Township in Rakhine State, the junta armed forces conducted an air strike with fighter jets near Mount Manyin at about 9:30 am on Wednesday. They also constantly fired mortars at nearby villages. 

The Military Council 

  • The junta Deputy Minister of Electricity said that it was necessary to maintain turbines and generators for the production of stable power to the public. 
  • According to shopkeepers, the military junta ordered hundreds of shops in Mingaladone Market to close down within 15 days. 
  • The Cambodian government officially announced that it had not invited the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing to the ASEAN Summit which would be held in November. 
  • Former Police Officer in Chief Khin Yi, the new Chair of Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP,) claimed that he would carry out a project to promote the party and increase the number of people who support them.
  • A verdict on Aung San Suu Kyi’s charge of accepting a bribe from businessman U Maung Wait will reportedly be made on 12 October. 
  • The junta propaganda media falsely said that PDFs had attacked the No. (1) Basic Education High School in Kawlin in Sagaing Region with improvised homemade mortars. 
  • The military junta stated that it would take action against the KNPP and PDFs for breaking existing laws as well as international laws. 

Summary on 6 October 

  • Former General Khin Yi, who is notorious for controlling religious extremists, resigned as a junta Minister and suddenly became the Chair of the Union Solidarity and Development Party backed by the military junta. Consequently, there might be distractions based on religious and racial conflicts to derail the revolution. 
  • In Sagaing Region, the junta armed forces suffered great losses and have been destroying streets and roads as their new strategy against PDFs.
