The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In the 77th government meeting on Tuesday, the NUG Acting President stated that there was no point in trying to understand or forgive the war crimes of the military junta.
  • In a NUG meeting on Tuesday, the Acting President claimed that the NUG will carry out transformational justice without fail.
  • On Monday, there was a meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and Union Representatives. Reportedly, the Chair of the Committee and Union Prime Minister stated that the NUG was responsible for more security and less public loss of life.
  • On Monday, the NUG announced that the case showing footage of alleged PDF members shooting and killing an alleged woman informer in Tamu went against the military ethics and legal action would be taken against the perpetrators.
  • In Sydney, Australia, the White-Ribbon Campaign for Myanmar was conducted in front of the customs office on Sunday. Reportedly, Dr. Tun Aung Shwe, the NUG representative for Australia, joined the event.

Revolutionary Activities

  • The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially announced that the planned for a trip to Myanmar by the Cambodian Foreign Minister and the ASEAN Special Envoy to Myanmar has been cancelled.
  • In Nepal, the Nepal Students’ Union protested against Myanmar’s military dictatorship in front of the Myanmar Embassy on Monday. It also expressed its support and said that it stands with the students sentenced to death by the military junta.
  • In Kayan Township of Yangon Region, U Htet Myet Aung, a CDM primary school teacher, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Kayan Township Education Staff Union expressed its objection to the sentence.
  • In South Okkalapa Township, there was a remote bomb attack on the traffic police office at about 6:00 am on Tuesday.
  • In Kyimyindine Township, a combined force of three Urban Guerrillas attacked the junta army taking security measures on Panbingyi Road at about 8:00 pm on Monday.
  • Ko Bone Myat Ko, a member of Nay Pyi Taw PDF, was arrested by the junta army and was killed during his interrogation.
  • On their 635th day of protest, a combined rally of local villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Sagaing Region, there was a dawn protest against the military dictatorship in the north of Yinmabin Township on Tuesday.
  • In Dibeyin Township, S&C has been building huts for those who lost their homes when the junta burned them down.
  • In Dibeyin Township, the junta army set fire to Namyar Village on Tuesday. Reportedly, they also arrested about 30 local people.
  • In Kantbalu Township, junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members set fire to Pintha Village, despite there not being any fighting in the area, for the third time at about 5:00 am on Monday. Reportedly, 24 houses were burnt to ashes.
  • On Monday, the Ayadaw Township PDF announced that the public was not to use the Monywa-Ayadaw Road Section for the time being.
  • In Salingyi Township, the junta army invading the area set fire to three local villages starting from 7:00 am on Tuesday.
  • In Pale Township, there was an attack on the combined camp of the junta army and Pyu Saw Htee in Inmahti Village at about 5:00 am on Tuesday. Reportedly, there were casualties among members of the junta armed forces.
  • On Monday morning, PDFs attacked the junta army stationed in a public building at the entrance to Monywa. Reportedly, eight junta soldiers died.
  • In Monywa Township, local PDFs fired mortars at Tawpu Village, a place with many Pyu Saw Htee members, at about 10:00 pm on Monday.
  • In Kalay Township, the junta army arrested and killed two young people near Doewinechaung Village at about 1:00 pm on Sunday, accusing them of being PDF members.
  • In Ngazun in Mandalay Region, local guerrillas attacked a junta army camp with 40mm grenades on Monday morning.
  • In Amarapura Township, there was a grenade attack on the junta security gate on Monday evening.
  • On Monday morning, the military junta arrested an advisor to the KBC, Reverend Samson, at Tada-U Airport. Reportedly, the Kachin Christianity Organization called for his swift release.
  • In Pwint Phyu Township in Magwe Region, the junta personnel killed an EC member from the local National League for Democracy (NLD) party.
  • In Waw Township in Bago Region, there was a mine explosion at the administration office in Kandaw Ward at about 6:00 am on Monday.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • The spokesperson of the Peace Process Steering Team (PPST) stated that they had been making an effort to hold an all-inclusive meeting of all ethnic armed organisations to help solve the ongoing crisis in the country.
  • In Kawthoolei Area under the Karen National Union (KNU), there were 290 battles in November. Reportedly, 333 junta soldiers died and 273 others were injured. As for the KNLA combined force, they lost 30 members and 68 others were injured.
  • In Demoso in Karenni State, the junta army constantly fired heavy artillery from Monday morning to Tuesday morning.
  • In Karenni State, over 20 junta soldiers died and four others were caught alive in recent local battles.
  • In Demoso Township, the Karenni Revolution Union regained control of Konetha Village on 1 December. Reportedly, three of their members were injured in the area clearance operation.
  • In Chin State, three soldiers from the junta army Ka-La-Ya (266) based in Hakha, joined CDF Senthang.
  • In Hpakant Township in Kachin State, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and PDFs arrested three junta soldiers near Hmawpone Village on Monday afternoon. After the incident, there was fighting in the area.

The Military Council

  • On Monday, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing met with the Russian Minister of Economic Development in Naypyitaw. Reportedly, they discussed Russian investment in the development of tourism in Myanmar and cooperation in various sectors.
  • On Monday, the military junta announced that it had appointed the Chief Justice of Shan State and two judges.
  • On Monday, there was a third meeting between the Russia-Myanmar Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in Naypyitaw. Reportedly, seven memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed.
  • According to the junta propaganda team, those in urgent need of a passport must go to the Yangon passport office in person a day in advance, along with their recommendation from the relevant ministry and other necessary documents.
  • The junta Minister of Hotel and Tourism stated that Russian tourists loved beaches, especially Ngapali Beach.
  • The junta Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the test results for the 50 vacant clerical positions.
  • According to Central Statistics from the junta Ministry of Planning and Finance, in the first three months of the 2022-23 fiscal year, the tax take was over 1,673 billion MMK.
  • The junta Ministry of Trade and Commerce announced that border trade exports to Bangladesh were worth over 18 million USD from 1 April to 18 November in the current fiscal year.
  • Starting from 9 December, the junta Myanmar National Airline will start a new service, between Yangon and Chiang Mai. It will run a roundtrip twice a week.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township in Yangon Region, the military junta banned the riding of motorcycles starting from 6 December.
