The National Unity Government (NUG)

· The Ministry of Defence- NUG announced that the People’s Defence Force (PDF) under the NUG had officially raised their flag in the town of Kawlin in Sagaing Region.

· In Nattalin Township of Bago Region, local people’s administration provided training on prevention from the dangers of air strikes to Phoenix DF and local people.

· The NUG announced that their responsible personnel had met with the members of the parliament of Canada, and they had discussed Myanmar’s affairs.

· At 10:00 am on Saturday, the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) met with the members of the Education and Health Committee under the Committee Representing thye Mon Hluttaw (CRMH) and the Township Education Boards. Reportedly, they discussed the educational activities on the ground.

· On Sunday, the Three Brotherhood of the Northern Alliance stated that they had confiscated 14.5 plane machine guns of the junta army in local battles in Northern Shan State.

· In Gantgaw Township of Magwe Region, a local PDF was able to catch all the junta policemen who had run away from the attack on the police station in Min Village.

Revolutionary Activities

· In Shweku Township of Kachin State, local PDFs announced on Monday that former soldiers and police in Shweku District were to join the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM).

· In Sagaing Region, there were two mine attacks on the junta army on the Monywa-ChaungU Road. Reportedly, 7 junta soldiers died.

· In Dibeyin Township, local PDFs attacked the junta armed forces in the town of Saipyin at about 1:00 am on Saturday.

· In Saipyin Town, the junta army shot mortars and dropped bombs from fighter jets. Reportedly, some local people were injured.

· According to the second chief officer of Thai Police, the Thai government has been arranging to rescue 162 Thai citizens, who were kidnapped and forced to work in scam call centres in northern Myanmar on the border with China.

· In Mandalay Region, there was a bomb attack via drone on the junta’s inspection gate near Aung Chantha Village on Natoegyi-Myotha Road Section at 1:00 pm on 2 November. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died.

· The United Nations stated that more than 23,000 people had to evacuate their homes within a week due to local battles in Northern Shan State in Myanmar, and the need for assistance has significantly increased.

· In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, the junta army has been firing mortars in the Yelegun Area. Reportedly, local people from some villages had to run away on Sunday.

· According to ABSDF Column (3), they have been clearing mines set by the junta policemen who ran away from Taungkhinyan Police Station.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· In Naungcho Township of Shan State, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has been fighting junta armed forces.

· On Monday morning, there were battles between the junta army and TNLA + Mdy-PDF near Goat Htike and Shwe Nyaungbin Village in Naungcho Township.

· In Thatone Township under Karen National Union, the junta army fired heavy artillery, injuring a civilian and damaging 3 houses.

· In Phapun District under KNU Brigade (5), there were 87 local battles in October. Reportedly, over 30 junta soldiers died.

· In Kokang Area and Theinni Township of Northern Shan State, the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) attacked and gained control of 4 junta outposts including Targantan and the military convoy. Reportedly, a large number of weapons were confiscated.

The Military Council

· To hold the 2023 Myanmar’s Academy Award Ceremony, the junta Ministry of Information met with Myanmar Motion Picture Organisation.

· The junta Minister of Information urged artists to write letters to the junta security forces saying that they do not accept the fighting in Northern Shan State.

· The junta propaganda newspaper mentioned that three passengers were arrested at Yangon International Airport, along with I-Phones, USD and gold blocks worth 4,235,659,734 lakh MMK.

· Myanmar and China discussed how Myanmar citizens can officially stay and work in China.

· According to the junta Ministry of Economics and Commerce, they have been arranging to set up a team comprising of government-recognized companies owned by Myanmar citizens to cooperate in the deep sea port project of Kyauk Phyu Special Economic Zone.

Summary on 7 November

· The PDFs and their allied forces managed to take control of Kawlin, a district city. On the other hand, Operation 1027 has been in great momentum, and they have been able to gain control of one town after another. In the very near future, the military junta might have to face their sunset.

· Throughout the country, the revolution has gained great momentum and the military junta has had to let go of their camps and towns. At such time, the military junta had a discussion about holding an Academy Awards Ceremony in Naypyi Taw. It highlights that senior officials of the junta army have no sympathy for grassroots-level soldiers and they just use them for their self-interest.
