At a time of loss, the junta armed forces tend to target civilians in their attacks with fighter jets and mortars. Due to such activities, there were casualties among local people. In Karenni, there were thousands of the IDPs as the war flame spread to the whole state, not only in rural villages but also in urban areas.
  • The same was true for Kayin State. In Chin State, the military junta prepared to conduct a military operation with a large number of armed forces. Consequently, there might be heavy battles in the days ahead.
  • As a whole, the military junta deployed armed forces and carried out military operations in Kayin, Karenni, Chin, Shan North and Sagaing. However, it was not as easy as they had expected and they had to face a great loss there.
