The Thai Zawl refugee camp in Mizoram State, India, where people were fleeing the war from Matupi, Chin State, has suffered significant damage as a result of the effects of Cyclone Mocha.

According to Sayar Aung from the camp, the Thai Zawl refugee camp sustained damage to more than 70 houses resulting from the strong winds.

"At the moment, neither government officials nor volunteer organizations are offering assistance. As much as we can, we are helping one another rebuild damaged homes. In the camp, the homes and the school building were destroyed. The temples were damaged as well," he said.

Thai Zawl Refugee Camp, which has 183 homes, was built after being moved from nine villages in Mutupi Township. There are 804 people living there.

The camp has not made any reports of deaths.
