Three junta soldiers killed in Karenni State

Karenni join forces killed three junta soldiers and seized weapons and ammunition when they fought with junta troops fought in Demoso and Hpruso townships in Karenni State on 4 September.

The Karenni Army (KA) and Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) battalion (10) jointly attacked a six-truck junta military column made up of soldiers from light infantry battalion (531) and (438) based in Hpruso, Karenni State on the morning of 4 September.
 
The column, which was traveling from Hpruso to Demoso, was attacked just south of Demoso near to Ngwetaung-Ywarthit Village in Demoso Township and the fighting lasted for four hours, according to the information department of the KNDF.

They said that one junta soldier was killed and many were seriously injured in the fighting and one MA-3 rifle and ammunition were also seized.

Later, at 1:36 p.m. on 4 September, joint forces from the KA and KNDF attacked junta forces stationed near to the entrance of Hpruso Township. The fighting lasted for two hours and two junta soldiers died from sniper fire according to the KNDF information department.
