Three police killed in Hpakant police station bomb blast

A bomb blast at the Hpakant police station, Kachin State on 24 March, killed three policemen.

After the bombing, the junta troops blockaded the top of the Uru Yadanar Jade Bridge near the police station and inspected the motorcycles and the cars of the general public. It is still unknown if there were any arrests or not.

Similar inspections were carried out in front of the Hpakant City Police Station on 22 March and 23, at around 9 a.m.

It is reported that the junta’s troops were patrolling around Hpakant town.

It has been more than seven months since the Internet was cut off in Hpakant.
