A leaked document shows that 27 cronies and business people associated with the Myanmar military have been banned from leaving the country, according to a report by DVB.

They include the high-profile cronies Max Zaw Zaw and Tay Za and the owner of the KBZ banking conglomerate, Aung Kho Win, whose daughter Nang Lai Kham, who is also the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of KBZ Bank, was detained and questioned for two hours at Yangon Airport before she was allowed to leave for Bangkok, reports DVB.

It is not known why the list has been drawn up, the news agency says. It is speculated that the junta has come up with the travel ban because they fear that there will be a drain of talent and more importantly wealth from the country as the business people on the list are a valuable source of income to the junta.
