A revolutionary group told Mizzima that a series of landmine attacks were carried out targeting the military council in North Dagon township, Yangon Region.

A landmine exploded on the roadside of North Dagon People's Hospital on Anawrahta Road, East Dagon (9) Ward at about and two more landmines were exploded about 50 military council troops were clearing the area.

“Our D.R.F members started detonating a landmine near the hospital. After the explosion, a police car, a double cab car, and blocked the road. While they were searching and clearing the area ... Two more landmines were detonated,” according to a statement from the DICTATOR REVOLT FRONT(D.R.F).

Locals near North Dagon People's Hospital also confirmed to Mizzima that the bomb blasts took place.

“We will continue to fight the military council who have taken power by oppressing the people. We will fight for what we have and try not to rule us at all”, an official from the Dictator Revolt Front(D.R.F) said.
