Two resistance fighters killed by junta troops in clashes in Mindat

Two members of CDF-Mindat were brutally killed by the junta troops, according to a Chin Defense Force (CDF-Mindat) statement on 30 June.

The clashes took place between junta troops and CDF Mindat twice on 29 June near Palon Twi village in Mindat Township. Since then, two members of CDF-Mindat went missing.

The two members’ bodies were found at 1.00 p.m. near Palon Twi village on 30 June, according to the statement.

Apart from the two dead resistance fighters, another fighter was it by an artillery shell, and four junta soldiers were killed in the clashes.

The CDF-Mindat issued a warning to the public that further clashes between the junta troops and the CDF-Mindat could occur in Mindat Township.
