Images show forensics officials inspecting a van in Torrance, California, containing what is believed to be a dead body, after police broke into it while hunting the gunman who killed 10 people at a dance club during Lunar New Year celebrations. In Monterey Park, where the shooting occurred, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna does not confirm the van is linked to the shooting, saying, "you have to leave the door open for any possibility until we understand who this supsect is, what his motives are, where he came from, what his intention was" and adding that "detectives are looking at every angle."

Monterey Park is about eight miles east of downtown Los Angeles and Asians, or Asian Americans, make up the majority of its population of 60,000.
