US voices religious freedom concerns in China, Iran, Myanmar, Nicaragua and India

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken voices alarm by actions by authorities in China, Iran, Myanmar and Nicaragua, while presenting the "2022 Report on International Religious Freedom". The annual report also listed attacks against religious minorities including Muslims and Christians in the billion-plus nation led by Modi's Hindu nationalists. "In India, legal advocates and faith leaders from across the country's diverse religious communities condemned the case of extreme hate speech against Muslims in the city of Haridwar, calling for the country to uphold its historical traditions of pluralism and tolerance," says Rashad Hussain US Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom.
