Ward administration office in Yangon’s Sanchaung Township bombed

Combined defence forces detonated a bomb at the ward administration office in Yangon’s Sanchaung Township at around 8:00 p.m. on 14 September.

The office is near to Kyuntaw Market in Shwe Pyi Aye Street, an area where there are many restaurants and shops.

According to a statement released by the Freeland Attack Force (FLA), one of the groups involved in the attack, a remotely detonated bomb was used, but they have no idea of casualty numbers because they immediately retreated after the explosion and did not monitor the situation on the ground.

The statement said that the attack had been carried out by a group of Yangon defence forces that were part of a group of Yangon defence forces calling themselves the Urban Guerrilla Force. They said that the attack had been part of the Urban Guerrilla Force’s missions in Yangon and that they will target people who financially support the junta, work as informants, or are in any way affiliated with the junta regime.

The groups that carried out the attack under the Urban Guerrilla Force umbrella were: the Freeland Attack Force (FLA), The Emerald Girls Army (EGA), the 21st Century Revolution and the UG Supporter Group.
