Exiled Burmese Member of Parliament (MP), elected in 1990 election Dr. Tint Swe and activists M. Kim along with Indian journalists, briefed journalists in Northeast India Burma’s planned 2010 general election and the probable implication on Northeast India. The consultation meeting, held at Guwahati Press Club in NE on January 30, was jointly organised by Burma Centre Delhi, an activists group, and Journalists’ Forum, Assam. Burmese artist Htein Linn’s work unveiled at the A1 Company's Esplanade Hall in Singapore. Htein Linn is himself a former political prisoner in Burma. The exhibition will remain open to the public through January 18.
