With effect from today until 15 March 2017, people from home and abroad can apply to Union Election Commission for the right to observe by-elections for vacant parliamentarian seats in respective constituencies to be held in April 2017, state media reported on 3 November.
According to UEC, there were over 10,000 local election observers and more than 1,000 international election observers in the previous 2015 multi-party general elections.
