Corruption drive sees Planning and Finance Minister Kyaw Win resign

The Planning and Finance Minister Kyaw Win has resigned after he came under investigation for alleged corruption, the President Office announced on Friday evening.
A complaint was filed against the minister Kyaw Win on May 3 for corruption, and then an investigation committee for the case was formed. Sources close to the government said that Minister Kyaw Win had submitted a resignation letter on 19 May. 
Two days after the Anti-Corruption Commission said that the investigation was nearly complete, the government on Friday allowed the Minister to resign 
Sources close to the National League for Democracy (NLD) told Mizzima that an official of the Central Economic Committee for the NLD will replace Minister Kyaw Win.
Presently, the deputy Ministers for the Planning and Finance Ministry are Maung Maung Win and Set Aung.
