More ethnic armed group leaders arrive in capital for ceasefire signing

More representatives from ethnic groups arrived in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday to sign the nationwide ceasefire agreement (NCA) with the government, the Global New Light of Myanmar reported on 15 October.
Among yesterday’s arrivals were a delegation from the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) led by Than Khe, a delegation from the Pa-O National Liberation Organization (PNLO) led by U Khun Okker, a delegation from the Arakan Liberation Party led U Khaing Soe Naing  Aung, and a delegation from the Karen National Union/Karen National Liberation Army-Peace Council led by U Htein Maung.
Representatives from China, India, Thailand, Japan, the EU and the UN will be present as witnesses at today’s signing ceremony.
