Unidentified explosion in Sittwe Township

An unidentified explosion was reported in Sittwe Township, Rakhine State at about 8 p.m. on May 15.
Sittwe Township Surveillance Police chief Sub-inspector Khin Maung Aye told Mizzima, “It seems that the explosion was near to Sittwe Kandawgyi Lake. We don't know whether it was a bomb or not.”
Officials are still investigating the blast.
Before Sunday's blast, a bomb exploded at the home of RiA-Root Investigate Agency's chief editor on May Yu Road, Danyawaddy Quarter, Sittwe, on May 10. Sittwe Township Police Station No. 1 told Mizzima that the police still do not who was responsible.
