On the occasion of the 11th Summit of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM11), the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) will launch the ASEF Outlook Report 2016/2017 “CONNECTIVITY: Facts and Perspectives” on 7 July 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Faced with a volatile global economy and complex set of challenges, Asian and European countries are increasingly promoting connectivity within and between the two regions to enhance economic vitality and sustainable development.  Against this background, ASEF will launch its latest publication ASEF Outlook Report 2016/2017. This 2-volume publication will present statistical as well as qualitative analyses on the status of Asia-Europe connectivity.
“Connectivity has become a key area of dialogue and cooperation in Asia and Europe to advance economic prosperity and sustainability as well as to promote people-to-people exchange. This publication provides a multi-dimensional and multi-perspective reference on connectivity for the policy-makers and stakeholders in both regions”, said Ambassador ZHANG Yan, the Executive Director of ASEF.
The launch will feature a panel discussion on recent developments and future outlook of connectivity in the context of Asia and Europe. Mr Marco FERRI, Minister Counsellor at the EU Delegation in Beijing, Dr Katharina HOENE, Trainer & Lecturer at DiploFoundation, and Dr Yu FEI, representative of the ASEF University Alumni Network (ASEFUAN), are among the notable panellists who will share their insights during the event.
The launch of the ASEF Outlook Report 2016/2017 is part of the programme of the 7th Model ASEM in conjunction with ASEM11.
