A Myanmar delegation led by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi arrived at Heathrow Airport in London on Saturday for an official visit to the United Kingdom.
They were welcomed at the airport by Ambassador of Myanmar to UK U Kyaw Swa Min and Ambassador of Britain to Myanmar Mr Andrew Patrick.The State Counsellor later met with 12 Myanmar ambassadors assigned in countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
During the meeting, the State Counsellor clarified priorities in Myanmar as well as the country’s foreign policy, saying that Myanmar has friendly relations with all countries in the world, practicing a non-aligned policy, according to the Global New Light of Myanmar.
After her visit to London the delegation will travel to the United States to attend the 71st United Nations General Assembly.
