Firefighters fought to extinguish a fire at Mingalar market, Yangon's largest wholesale and retail market, in the early morning of January 9.
The fire is said to have broken out on the fifth storey of the building early in the morning.
Firefighters rushed to the scene to attempt to put out the blaze.
Mingalar market is a sprawling market that sells retail and wholesale products.
