Kaman organizations question Tatmadaw's Rakhine State Day message

Some Kaman ethnic groups have questioned the fact that the name of the Kaman was not mentioned in the message of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces released on Rakhine State Day on December 16.

There are seven ethnic groups in Rakhine State such as Rakhine, Thet, Daingnet, Mru, Khami, Kaman and Maramagri but only six ethnics were mentioned, leaving the Kaman ethnic group out.

Ko Yan Naing Soe, a spokesman for the Kaman Ethnic Youth Association suggested that the omission of an ethnic minority name would undermine ethnic unity and that the statements should be clearly written and examined.
