More conflicts in Rakhine State unless there is political dialogue, says AHCT secretary

Arakan Humanitarian Coordination Team (AHCT) secretary Kyaw San Hlaing opined that there would be more conflicts for area domination in Rakhine State despite falling fighting in northern Rakhine State unless there were political dialogue.

“Falling of fighting in this state may be because of either general elections or tiredness in fighting but in my opinion there will be more fighting unless there is political dialogue resolving this conflict,” he said.

Arakan Humanitarian Coordination Team (AHCT) is an umbrella organization consisting of six Rakhine civil society organizations which is providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) fleeing from conflict zones.
