The Township Education Office said that over half of schools in Paletwa Township, Chin State, cannot opened for various reasons including shortage of teaching staffs.

There were total 391 schools for over 30,000 students in Paletwa Township but only 154 schools will be opened this 2020-21 academic year.

Because of unrest and instability in the area, some teachers and students moved.
