Khin Maung Zaw, a member of Suu Kyi's legal team, said it was unclear whether the military council had filed another lawsuit against Aung San Suu Kyi under the anti-corruption law.

He said that the Mandalay region high court had filed a lawsuit against Aung San Suu Kyi under four sections of the Anti-Corruption Law on July 12, but that it was not clear whether she had been sued again under that section in August.

In addition, Aung San Suu Kyi was charged under Section 3 (1-c) of the State Secrets Act in the Eastern District Court of Yangon and charged under Section 55, 55/63 of anti-corruption Act in the Mandalay Region High Court. All these cases are likely to be heard jointly in the Nay Pyi Taw Special Court.
